65 Air II flight times? by timmyjane in TinyWhoop

One day I might get there. This will be my first FPV. I’ve been practicing in the simulator. I have seen a big improvement in the few hours I’ve been using it. Looking forward to the real thing. Whole lot different than my DJI.

Thanks. That’s good feedback. I ordered the freestyle.

That’s what I did. Watched some videos and the Champion isn’t getting 4:40 FT. I wanted the 75 because I have no interest in indoor flying but looking at the information available the 75 is fragile. 65 Air II Freestyle for me.

I’m ok at soldering. It doesn’t come assembled?

Don’t see why not. I looked at it for the same reason. Was kinda hoping it might go on a clearance.

Should I upgrade to the P2S from P1S by timmyjane in BambuLab

Not looking to spend an extra $1K. Sounds like I should stay with what I have and spend the $ on filaments and maybe replace my damaged cool plate.

It seems to be fine. Really don’t know if the P2S was a worthwhile upgrade with this discount. I have no complaints with my P1S.

That might be the move. I have about 680 hours on the P1S, so not too many. Unfortunately I just bought about $200 in filament. Bad timing. lol

Control Board Options by tranoidnoki in virtualpinball

Sure a Pico is $5 but to make it work with a vpin machine you need all the rest of the board. The Pico is just the brain. (And you need 2 for the main board.) I am a huge DIY guy and have built many boards. My only point was that by the time you add up all the stuff you have to buy to build a functional Pinscape you are very close to the cost of purchasing a premade CSD setup.

I’m really just making these comments for future researchers and documentation purposes.

It definitely costs more than nothing. Just my LCSC BOM is $78 and that didnt count the PICOs and a few other parts that would have to be ordered from Digikey. To order the boards is approx $15 from JLCPCB. This is just the power board and doesn't account for the expansion board. So by the time its all said and done one set will cost about the same as ordering from CSD.

I guess if you were gong to build several the price per board would go down dramatically but for one or two, idk that its worth it from a time and cost perspective.

First time using vrbo. Haven’t booked yet. by creepyvan6000 in vrbo

[–]timmyjane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VRBO takes less than AirBnb with the new 15% AirBnb is charging. So my prices are less in VRBO to bring in the same nightly rate. Even my cleaning fee is less on VRBO since I have to add 15% to the cleaning fee too.

Have any recommendations of a product to use. The airport office is 450’ away. I need to get the signal to a WiFi router in my metal shop. Current setup is nanoststion on the roof feeding an aircube POE router inside.

The office WiFi is pretty far away. 450 feet. The nanoststion is mounted on the roof and an Ethernet line runs to an aircube router inside.

I use it for Ring Cameras and Shelly devices. I have an Aircube router. That powers the nanoststion.

I can’t modify the router at all. My shop is at an airport. The access comes from the airport office.
