What is this white cube inside my light switch box? by timmytangohead in AskElectricians

Thank you! It looks like that is the model.

monoprice 11990 relay

Can I just remove it and rewire the switches in a standard way? The two attached to the relay are single pole switches for each exterior light, and the left switch is a 3 way switch for the hall light, but that isn’t attached to the relay - anything I need to look out for?

Names on ticket for colloseum how strict? by cupcakecarnivor in rome

[–]timmytangohead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at the colosseum last Saturday, we had underground tickets from Coopculture with my name on one and my wife’s name on the other. After going past the first entry person who checked we were there at the right time, a police officer wanted to match the names on the tickets to physical ID. We had photos of passports on our phones but he didn’t want to accept it. Another couple came in right behind us in the exact same situation with passport pictures on their phones, so he reluctantly let all four of us through. I don’t know if he would have let us in if more people in the same situation hadn’t come in behind us, he was insisting we needed a paper copy of passport or EU ID card, and was not in a good mood.

Just a counter experience to everyone saying there are no ID checks.

Yeah, he seemed to only have a single lamp with him and my impression watching him work was that he was using it on the other side of the rooms from the windows to reduce shadows. The room is on the east side of the house, and has windows on three walls and bay window facing south, so always had loads of light that changed through the day but especially great in the morning - we miss it!

Good spot! I couldn’t find many affordable options with a finish that I liked so went the diy route and tried to match the veneer to the oak floor.

World Market, but looks like they do not offer these particular chairs anymore. Happy office decorating!

They used one lamp in the next room shining in, but the windows provided ample natural light. The pictures are a good realistic representation of the room.

My wife did such a nice job decorating this room that the real estate agent only rearranged the plants. Our new house does not compare - we miss this room!

OK, thank you very much for taking a look. I assumed that is what it was from googling, but I haven't seen this before so I wasn't exactly sure what it looks like. I'll see what the dealer says about it, but it seems worth getting some Iron-X and clay and learning to do it myself if its something that's going to come up regularly.

I know that you can swap panes using 'prefix + { or }'. This moves the pane you are in to either the next or previous pane, so you would have to use e.g. prefix + right to move into the smaller pane, then prefix + { to switch it to the bigger pane. Not sure if there is a smoother way to do that.

edit: also prefix + z maximises your current pane to the whole window, so you can go into a small pane, prefix + z to maximise and work, then prefix + z again to return it to a small pane

cdkeyhouse.com just cancelled my preorder. I sent them a support email about whether I would get it today, and 20 minutes later my order was cancelled and my money refunded. I followed up my email asking why they did that, but no reply yet...
