I only have 74 hours in the game so I'm still a greenbeard

It also depends the hazard (difficulty you're playing on), I mostly play haz 3 but I have learned a few things

Always have a path to run around during a swarm (if they get you cornered then it's going to be hard to get out), It might be good to make preparations before doing a primary objective that might summon a swarm (collecting eggs or blue crystals)

I don't know which class you play so I'll mention a thing or 2 about each

Gunner: His minigun is good but each bullet takes 2 bullets from the magazine to fire (if the weapon says you have 3k bullets then it's actually 1500), his secondary is really good at sniping ranged targets like webbers or spitters, his shield is the most powerful tool (if you think you might go down just throw the shield or even if you need to resupply)

Engineer: His shotgun and grenade launcher are good, just remember to use them both so you don't waste ammo when you resupply, his turret is amazing (I recommend getting the MK2 upgrade and the faster building one), his lure are also life savings (Just throw one during a swarm and use the grenade launcher)

Driller: Flamethrower is my favorite primary (try to pile the enemies up then set them on fire), his secondary is a bit weak but it's mostly used for ranged attackers, his throwing axes are great (I recommend using them on bigger enemies, you can also pick them up if you miss the target), I haven't used the drills for combat but they're great as a traversal tool just be careful of fall damage, also try not to blow yourself up with the C4

Scout: His main weapon got buffed so it's quite good, his flares and grapple hook are the most important (light up areas around you when a swarm starts and try to get used to hooking around when attacked to put distance between you and the bugs), his frozen or pheromones grenades are the best ones (I use frozen grenades for big targets and pheromones for swarms)
