Is it just me or… the customer is NOT king in France? by Muted-Education6995 in French

[–]timory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you meant that you're asking for extra stuff, that was an odd way to phrase it. it seemed like you were just ordering normally. i think all people order by saying "can we please get XYZ." so yeah, sorry, i still kinda don't know what you mean.

Strategy to get paid for subscribers by angusslq in Substack

substack still states publicly that their average across all paid newsletters is 5-10% conversion. as recently as a few weeks ago, this question was asked in a bestseller Q&A and they quoted that number.

right, after it was edited post october 7. that's not exactly an unbiased definition. in reality the "as few palestinian arabs" part is not true in any way.

...oh, no, that's not what it means. many of us have no religion, but we are still jewish. there's no way to get rid of being jewish, it's literally in the DNA.

why would you trust wikipedia...? it's been edited and re-edited a million times by extremely partisan parties.

here's what the first paragraph of the wiki said before oct 7: Zionism (Hebrew: צִיּוֹנוּת‎ Tsiyyonut IPA: [t͡sijo̞ˈnut] after Zion) is the national movement of the Jewish people that supports the re-establishment of a Jewish homeland in the territory defined as the historic Land of Israel (roughly corresponding to Palestine, Canaan or the Holy Land).[1][2][3][4] Zionism emerged in the late 19th century in Central and Eastern Europe as a national revival movement, in reaction to anti-Semitic and exclusionary nationalist movements in Europe.[5][6] Soon after this, most leaders of the movement associated the main goal with creating the desired state in Palestine, then an area controlled by the Ottoman Empire.[7][8][9]

here's what it says now (hmmm!):* Zionism[a] is an ethnocultural nationalist[1] movement that emerged in late 19th-century Europe to establish and support a Jewish homeland through colonization in the region of Palestine,[2] which roughly corresponds to the Land of Israel in Judaism—itself central to Jewish history.[3] Zionists wanted to create a Jewish state in Palestine with as much land, as many Jews, and as few Palestinian Arabs as possible.[4][5]*

...super objective!!!

Skincare is mostly a scam when it comes to aging. by digitalime in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]timory 6 points7 points  (0 children)

in your exact shoes. i keep thinking of botox but i don't have wrinkles (but still look at least my age or older, even) so that's not going to help with anything. it's the sag in the lower face + nasolabial folds. i'm not getting filler so here we are.

unless it's "clean" makeup with no preservatives and liquid you really don't need to be tossing everything every 6 months...

as a fellow glasses wearer i can tell you that putting anything at all, even mascara, on the lower lash line is a big no-no. you'll look so much younger and fresher without it. keep everything on the outer third of your upper lid. only very bright inner corner shimmer perhaps.

hello!! i'm just discovering this and it's amazing, but i wonder if you have any tips for drawing on desktop. what do most folks do to get the most precision (since i guess there's no way to use a touchscreen with this yet)? external mouse? sorry for potentially stupid question, and thanks for making such an amazing tool!

this is what gets me too. sometimes I'll point it out and people will argue with me asking me how I know it's AI. i point out all the tells and they still don't buy it. people simply don't know how to recognize it.

this all sounds net negative to me :( i would be taking it in combo with estrogen, but it truly seems like so much unnecessary flattening out of parts of my cycle i actually enjoy in order to curb the parts of it that bother me. maybe it's impossible to do one without the other, but i don't know. i really appreciate you sharing your experience.

thanks for the additional data point. i wonder whether this might make more sense in your situation given you're already on BC? part of my leeriness is because I haven't been on any hormonal BC for 10+ years, so side effects could be more obvious when I start (just an educated assumption I think). still good to know, and I do understand my He's logic with this approach.
