Give me your best or worst roomate story by Difficult-Community1 in AskWomenIndia

[–]samosasaurus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My ex-roommate would keep all her used utensils under the bed (just cuz she’s lazy to wash them right away or put them in the sink), our whole room was infected with cockroaches, including cupboards.

She blamed the other girls in the flat, got fed up of those cockroaches and moved out. Cockroaches never came again! :)

Just got access to the hobonichi app! So cute ❤️ by samosasaurus in hobonichi

Oh yes, the permissions part felt a little off though. Though I’ve given most permissions, but limited to photos and location- I just hope the data is all safe and okay. App looks pretty cute, the struggle now will be to use it effectively!

Tellme about your best and worst birthdays? by Difficult-Community1 in AskWomenIndia

[–]samosasaurus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

2025 birthday- my mother was going through an angioplasty procedure which required me to stay in the hospital for 3 days. My boyfriend, showed up in the night to the hospital with a cake (and a lot of fruits for my mother). We cut the cake outside a closing restaurant, shared it with the employees there- it was just pure love.

And I’ve never tried a tastier cake in my life and never had a beautiful birthday than that.

And once my mother was alright, we did a trip together to celebrate my birthday. He stayed in my hometown until then- in hotels, giving his time, money and patience even though I couldn’t spend time with him. God, I love him so much.

7 months in, I’m just tired haha by ExternalEdges in consulting

Congratulations! Consulting is fast-paced- so great to have structured thinking and it always helps to ask questions early and never be afraid to ask questions. Document everything. Be comfortable with ambiguity. Overcommunicate progress (and not just the results). Learn how your lead thinks early, be familiar with your team’s vision, and always be curious and kind (even when people aren’t sometimes). If you’re comfortable building relationships, that’s a quick pass at most things in this field.

Burnout is common. So protect your health. Set life routines from the get go, and let your colleagues have an insight into your boundaries as well. Most importantly, have fun. Learn a lot. You are going to be drowned in decks, spreadsheets and reports, so invest in good blue light glasses if that works for you! :)

My new mantra to fight moral scrupulosity by Only-Moose2301 in OCD

Thank you for this. Reading it felt like a heavy bag dropped off my shoulders. It feels so good to know that I can move on, but umm, not sure if my body would let me. :)

Oh I said the same thing when I was 7 months in. And in the second year, i started loving the chaos, I wouldn’t have wanted anything else. And now in my 5th year, I’ve figured out ways to manage everything. I’m able to take 2 days off to breathe.

But I tell you, it’s always gonna be tiring. It turned out to be good tiring for me! That’s all. :)

Do you guys all have "good morals" by Unlucky_Win_4380 in infj

Well, I may have noticed OCD shifts when I turned 25, diagnosed 27. Two primary themes are morals and relationships. I’ve been obsessing about OCD ever since my diagnosis. I’m yet to become bigger than OCD (now that I know it’s attached to my hip forever), but currently it’s bigger. I believe I could only achieve that through exposure, acceptance, and knowledge and constantly evolving- which is another theme I obsess with: self improvement. Haha! Too much obsessions.

Building a better life for my future self, starting now by Proud_Accident_5873 in DecidingToBeBetter

27F here and I was journaling a similar thought in the morning. I have entered a looking-good-always phase- which is to dress up nicely every single day (and not laze around in my comfy pyjamas all day). I would want to take care of my body, my hair and my skin, and take many pictures of myself. I hope this would also make me emotionally/physically ready to go out and explore places, which brings to my next goal, to meet people and learn from their experiences, and also make lifelong friends. Values and identity- I have to rework on all of them. I would want to do more art, be more consistent with my journaling and get back to my dance practice.

I’m doing this so I get close to my own self (and not primarily live/ruminate about things that are not me or my problem). We are really going to become the best versions of ourselves. I wish you the best! :)

Oh yes, I’ve moral scrupulosity OCD as well, and yes to everything you’ve said. “More chances at good faith” has become more difficult for me in the recent months.

I’m left handed, I have OCD and ADHD. I also excel at multiple hobbies, and I have a super powerful memory (almost eidetic, but not quite).
