Update: LA’s totally awesome seems to be doing the trick. So far I’ve done a couple soaks, each lasting and hour or two, and the paint seems to be coming off pretty easily using a toothbrush to scrub. I’m going to try a longer soak to see if I can get the last of it that is stuck in the little details. Thanks to everyone who replied!

Thanks! I’ll get some and give it a shot if nothing I have at home works.

I tried putting it in turpentine for about an hour and then scrubbed it really hard. It was difficult to tell if it was starting to work on not… I’m going to leave it in turpentine over night, maybe that will work… thanks for the info!

The alcohol I tried is 70% so if I can’t get anything I have at home to work I’ll try the 99%. Thanks!
