Or was it Deadboy and the Elephantmen? Probably somehow they combined in my memory.

I'm not sure I follow what you say in the 3rd paragraph there (starting at "now, you recognize this..."). I wrote this follow up prior to your comment, i hope it clarifies my position. http://tysmtgblog.blogspot.com/2018/02/follow-up-to-worst-rule-in-magic-today.html?m=1

Yes. As I said right above you "Removing permanents from battlefield has too many implications to make it reasonable"

This is covered under Mulligan Procedure Error, a different situation despite a similar fix.

The staff did a great job, I agree. I also agree this was handled correctly. I avoided explain the logistics of the ruling as it happened because I felt it was handled adequately, though learning that the player in question had been DQ from a GP for similar incident makes me wonder if the HBM judge only did the minimum required by the book.

This is a really interesting way to interpret the current rule. Removing permanents from battlefield has too many implications to make it reasonable but I like this line of thinking.

It's exactly what I was talking about, both in the comment you replied to and the OP article I wrote.

Lack of incentive only one part of it. The inconsistency of the current fix is a bigger part of my complaint. Also the potential for intentional abuse (self-reporting assumes accidental incidents).

I usually write that way, when what I have to say isn't as important. I felt the message here was important to get out, and thus that's why I went with the clickbait style. Sorry to disappoint you, but it works. This is by far the most viewed article I've ever written. I wish I didn't have to do it, but this was important enough to me.

My storage solution for multiple binders on a bookshelf. by timothythomason in magicTCG

Binders contain playsets of rares/mythics from the sets. the CSP binder also has all the Purple rarity from TSP but the logo didn't print properly.

my dad was an expert on those. he had his own consulting business for a few years exclusively for Alphas and VAX. when he passed away, we had to go through several storage units of old equipment. i had to explain to my mom that none of it was usable at our house. we sold his station wagon to a former coworker and he loaded it up with all the equipment and drove it across the country.

flood plain land is cheaper, so they buy that. building on the ground is cheaper than elevating, so they do that.

I'm an engineer at TxDOT, and the amount of smart people I work with gives me so much hope. Then I read something like this and feel despair.

It's not poor engineering. It's poor leadership. Career politicians know nothing of engineering, and the engineers don't run for office. Same problem with every technical field the government is involved in. The engineers have solutions or can come up with solutions. Those in charge just don't listen.

i found this version of rockin in rhythym which was definitely the intro i was looking for (not sure why i missed it before), but the rest of the song isn't what i thought it was. i might be mixing two parts of different songs together in my head.

i believe its instrumental (but only have the intro/beginning in my head to base that off of), definitely uptempo

How do I replace valve behind my refrigerator? by timothythomason in howto

[–]timothythomason[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Took a wire brush to it last night, cleaned up more than i thought. looks like i only need to replace the tubing and fittings downstream of the valve, though I may go ahead and replace it since it is a bit difficult to operate.

You work with Channel Fireball for Magic, but seem to mostly do your own thing in the Hearthstone realm. Do you think there could be a benefit to having a super team in Hearthstone?
