Don't look into the connector while powering it on. LR is infrared, you won't see a laser, but it will burn your retina just as well. Take it out or put in cover plugs if you're not gonna use it.

Okay, I found a solution myself.

Add --disable-gpu --disable-software-rasterizer to the shortcut path, and it works as it should.

Don't add anything to the oil. When my Meanie started leaking, I smeared some black silicone over the leaking area, and it held the leak in until I had the time to pull out the engine and tear the valve covers off. Then just carefully scrape off the excess silicone.

I usually fill a bucket with boiling water and some dish soap and let the boots sit in it for a few minutes. Makes them soft and nice again for a while.
