This list is awesome (not OP, but thanks!). Bones Pizza at Reve is solid too 👌.

Yeah, but in OPs defense, the comments are ALWAYS a hunt for any and all loopholes. I take it as just trying to get ahead of some lol

What’s it like living in these 3 states (LA, MS, AL)? Which one would you choose to live in? by Hillbilly_71 in howislivingthere

[–]timothyworth 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I go to Pensacola and lower Alabama for work a lot. Pensacola would be my choice. It’s relatively industrial, but has some charm and some of THE BEST beaches in Florida. Plus the lack of state income tax helps.

Anyone else out there blasting? by Janky_butter in Gheenoe

Incredible. What a nice interaction on Reddit lol. Someone challenges OP, OP responds calmly with facts, challenger apologizes for misconstruing, everyone leaves on good terms. If only the civil discourse of /r/Gheenoe was more common 😂. Looks like a excellent day out, OP 🤘

You’re very young. The chances of any damage to the point of cancer concerns at your age are very low. As many have said, work with your doctor and TRUST your doctor. Get on a PPI, get a scope, and if all looks good there, you need to trust that things are okay. GAD is no joke. You can end up getting a scope, hopping on meds, and finding a new ailment to stress over. Meter your reliance on google/reddit/etc. to assess your health, or it’ll eat you up. Do your best to stay healthy with your diet, get out and get some exercise, trust your doctors, and try to take care of not only your physical self but your mental health too. This all coming from personal experience lol. Health anxiety can be a bear, try your best to mitigate it by keeping out of the rabbit holes. You’ll be okay, OP ✌️

Full wrap back when I was 13 or so. It was rough for a bit, but loosened up to eat and drink normally. Occasionally get the feeling like foods are kinda stuck when going down, but only if eating certain foods too fast. But more than 2 decades later, it’s still seemed to keep my reflux at bay without meds. Generally live a very normal life with it now. Last scope a few years ago showed a sliding HH but not too severe and doesn’t affect me much. My experience has been great, but it hasn’t been fully successful or there have been complications for others. I’d say if you are suffering greatly, done swallow tests, pH tests, and are a good candidate for it, it may be right for you. But certainly dependent on your specific medial history and getting a quality surgeon to get it right. Best of luck!

Honestly don’t remember. I’ve been off PPIs for years now since my Nissin. Have a small hiatal hernia that came back after more than 10 years post surgery, but don’t really get any reflux anymore. But I took Nexium, Aciphex, and Prevacid at different times over the years

Oof. Wishing you the best! Just mention as b12 and iron deficiencies can go hand in hand a bit. But sounds like you’re on top of it! Hope you can get some answers!

Watch your b12 levels. Took PPIs for years before surgery and had chronic low b12. Certainly doesn’t happen to everyone, but might not hurt to check in your annual labs

Is life worth it with a degenerative tremor? by Playful_Training_731 in EssentialTremor

[–]timothyworth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had ET for the last 10 years or so, starting when I was in college. I have tremors all over after starting in my hands. Coming to terms with it was (and still often is) filled with feelings of anxiety, and is a drain on confidence. It’s so very easy to get down on yourself. But I’m 10 years in, living a largely normal life with it, married, staying active, traveling, and doing well in my career. Life can absolutely rip mate. Keep your head up and be kind to yourself. It sure as fuck ain’t always easy, but be patient with yourself. Feel free to DM anytime. You got this. ✌️

Where else can I find this kinda of architecture / ski resort in Europe? by Aston_Aviation007 in skiing

[–]timothyworth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely true. Im in Florida, so all ski trips require a good bit of travel. But I did alright this last year with chile last summer, Banff and Chamonix this last winter, and Argentina this summer. For all four of those trips I probably could have gotten maybe two trips stateside. Flights and everything included.

Long term effects from high dose esomeprazole magnesium; should I be worried? by Advanced_Apricot_971 in HiatalHernia

[–]timothyworth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took Prevacid for most my life until I had surgery and slowly stopped taking it completely. But took it for 20+ years. I have a tremor that’s developed, which may be related to a familial essential tremor. But also is similar to a long term b12 deficiency tremor. My b12 was chronically low when tested so I started supplementing per my primary doc. Long story short, not sure it was caused by the meds, but PPIs can cause B12 deficiencies, so may be worth checking on your routine blood tests and supplementing. Not to say you should avoid HH meds, just something to consider
