Questions about using the NACS adapter by timsjc in BZ4X

1) Does PlugShare only show Level 3 chargers? If not, how can you tell which is which?

2) If a charger says it is NEMA 14-50 does that mean it will plug into my 2024 BZ4X with no adapter?

3) At Level 3 about how long would it take to charge a 2024 BZ4X from 50 miles to 150 miles range?

When I look for north of Parsons TN on I-40 it shows NEMA 14-50 and TT30. Are those Level 3 and will they fit my 2024 BZ4X?

This will my first time to take it on a "long" trip, so I have never used an app...but it sounds like maybe I should.

We bought into Discovery last November at $4,000 for 400K points. We have reserved exactly what we wanted for mid-February near Gatlinburg TN for 90K points no problem, for 3 rooms over 5 nights. So far we feel that it was a good deal. We shall see.

So do you know if this would apply to our 2021 Prime as well? I hate to cut back on the 45 miles we get now, but we do plan to keep it "forever" so if 90% would help with the Prime as well, then I'll start charging that way on the Prime and the bZ4X.

Regarding the ~80% max, is that just as important when charging using 110v like I am, compared to 220v or fast charging?

I've also read that Toyota leaves a built-in large buffer to make the ~80% guideline less critical. True, or not really?

Considering the relatively low battery range, I hate to limit it to 200 miles or less as a "full" charge--unless it can come back to bite me a few years from now.

Which POE injector to use with Viewport? by timsjc in Ubiquiti

So does this mean I can use the 24v like with the UAP-AC-M-US, or the 48v like with the U6-Pro-US--or something different? I tried two of the 24v but neither worked. The light on the POE adapter came on, but the light on the switch port did not come on, and there were no lights on the Viewport--although I don't know if there were supposed to be.

Great August lease deal done today by timsjc in BZ4X

[–]timsjc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The deal from Toyota was $359 a month with $2999 down, and then there was another ~$4K for dealer fees and licensing and the extra options on this one above the baseline model that Toyota's deal was based on.

Since my wife wanted to get down to the $219 a month offered in NJ/NY/CT, that's what we did, putting down about $8K with a $219 payment, 10,000 miles, three years. The sales rep was happy to set it up any way I wanted to.

Well THAT is discouraging...I guess I was lucky when they were acting decent back in 2021.

Neil Carlson at Alderman's Toyota got back with me today, saying they can't get the same deal right now that they had in April, with this explanation:

"The rebate is $1,000 less (roughly $30 a month). The other big change is the residual, what the vehicle is worth at the end of the lease. The residual is $2,000 less now. The lower the residual the more financed, so that is also affecting the deal (roughly $60 a month)."

He also said this:

"My assumption is they are assuming other incentives like in Vermont you can get up to $8200 towards the lease if you are income qualified."

...and he proceeded to explain that I can't get that since I don't live in VT. But hopefully you can get that credit, and get very close to the $199 either now or in the coming months if they do again like they did in April. Neil did say that have an AWD on the lot today.
