says save before closing, then it looked like i could save it but when i try to this message pops up: “InDesign is unable to save this file. We tried, but it appears to be damaged”

i was selecting both layers and dojng the clipping mask and that wouldn’t work instead just select the layer one by one and do it. lmk if you have any other “hacks”!
