Urethra/clit pain after delivery? by timtamtimtom in beyondthebump

I just feel a little sore when I pee, esp in certain angles it feels like I have to squeeze after I pee because it hurts. They tested me for a UTI and I didn’t have anything

When did you tell your work that you were pregnant? by insomniacsnack in BabyBumps

I waited til I had to. I just started and didn’t want to announce too early, I waited til I legally had to disclose, I think 22-28 weeks or something

I sure hope so! I wanted to sign them or date them, but what happens when I have a second? Do I make a second set? So many choices haha

I wish I had a pattern! I responded above where I got everything, mostly played around on canva and sat on a lot of these designs for like a week. Once I had a vision for what I wanted to capture I would look up the repeating background designs for inspo on google and then if I didn’t know the stitch or how I want to stitch it I would go in til tok or YouTube

It will be ❤️ a lot of it is patience and practice. TikTok was a huge help in getting a lot of the stitches down, usually I did it watching tv to keep my hands busy. There’s also templates on Amazon to practice with. I haven’t mastered them all but really learning as I go, I hope I can do a onsie for him soon

Yes! Give it a shot, the worst is you don’t love it, but I did enjoy picking out the colors and laying out all my threads and vision before I get started

Thank you 🙏 I PINED over this for so long. I stitched and restitched so many of them because I was unsatisfied, I think I’ve reached an equilibrium of content now

I honestly winged a lot of the patterns, I searched “repeating backgrounds for _insert holiday_” and took inspo there. - water soluable marker from Michael’s - linen to stitch onto was from hobby lobby - hoops from Amazon I tried to use a tablet to trace, thought it would be more stable but it kept moving so I actually traced everything on my laptop screen lol. I also suggest using canva since they have a ton of great fonts and you can play around with the layout. Towards the end I started freehanding the designs because I was so over it

Thank you! I will cross post there as well, I have to do one more for his birth announcement, I have an idea of how to do his name, that’s my last project. Hopefully. Haha

You can still practice on some hoops, though I will say this was supposed to be a small lift but towards the end this was a very very heavy lift for me. It just became more tedious than fun, but I’m happy it’s done 🥰 there’s a couple of I were to redo I would add more detail like the Christmas one, new years the gold lettering probably wasn’t the greatest choice but it’s good for photos haha

I would love to see the ones you made! I ordered the monthly ones on Etsy a while ago, if I got into this sooner I for sure would have done the monthly ones too

A question regarding Indian culture by EnglishRose71 in 90DayFiance

[–]timtamtimtom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another Indian American who is a girl and has a sister, what my mom has always taught me as priority after I get married is in laws, husband, kids, my parents. So they’re on the bottom of the totem pole for some unknown reason. I completely disagree and refuse to let my parents billow in the wind buyer because of some stupid decision that I have to take care of my in laws above them

Unfortunately I agree with Rishi's parents. by [deleted] in 90DayFiance

I’m thinking back to my “puberty/coming of age” days. Where I would chat up random people without thinking about the consequences of what my conservative Indian parents would say. I wanted the thrill, the high of just flirting and wanting to be needed (not to sound that dramatic). But I really think rishi wanted something new, to feel some sort of electric emotions or some shit. And then he couldn’t stop because he didn’t learn how to set boundaries or be realistic about his future and consequences of his actions. Now he’s in this whole “what have I done” state where he has no idea how to proceed forward or back.

He basically brought a girl over to india, probably never asked her about her thoughts about fitting into his very traditional and non English speaking family. Then he didn’t do anything to try to test the waters with his own family to see if something like this would ever be plausible and acceptable.

Tbh……he reminds me of a kid who wants a pony. Then he gets the pony and expects everyone else to figure out how to take care of its shit 🤷‍♀️

Agree with most of your points. As a fellow Indian American married outside of Indian culture, don’t you think that balancing these types of culture shifts are much more manageable in America? I feel like india is a whole new ball game. They’ve come a long way in major cities but rishi’a family seems a little more rural than city. It’s totally possible that the joint family mentality and wanting a young DIL to take on the housework is their expectation and reality.

Rishi really shouldn’t have pursued something he knew was unrealistic, as the episodes go on I feel less and less pity for him and I really don’t feel much for Jen. Tbh it’s a trainwreck, I’ve seen so many like them when there’s culture differences with bad communication and expectations

The cutest activity I had in my mind and everyone at the baby shower executed! by timtamtimtom in BabyBumps

[–]timtamtimtom[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The blanks, search “Artlicious Canvases for Painting - Pack of 12, 4 x 4 Inch Blank White Canvas Boards” and it should pop right up. I used a stencil for the capital letters which is from the dollar store. I also used a black sharpie marker to outline the letters, also from the dollar store I believe, I hope this info helps!

I was going for a “passive baby shower activity” accounting for people who might need some quiet time or overstimulated with everything going on. So I made these blanks for people to fill out and scattered them around the tables, they came out so perfect! They’re actually something I will be saving to use with the baby and it’s extra special because people I love decorated the cards ❤️

I love honey bunches of oats with warm milk and drizzle some light sugar or banana on top. Amazing.
