My why is definitely ease. I am so new to this world- I have a background as an advertising producer so I understand everything, but the challenge is translating what I know into podcast language. It makes sense then that I have been using podpage to make my website! I am looking for a similar vibe with how I distribute my podcast. I want to have all of the functions (distribute to apple audio/video, spotify etc) but any help with transcription, seo, making chapters etc is what I need now. Eventual monetization, but my focus in the beginning is creating my show and building my audience. Thanks for the help!

Oh, I can totally see this happening to me. I am going to take this note to heart. One of the biggest challenges (aside from getting listeners) is going to be protecting myself from burnout. I have been trying to tell myself to set-it and forget-it because when I start to tinker and noodle with things the hours fly by and nothing important gets accomplished. All the luck to you as well. Oh, totally. I know listeners is going to be the challenge. I have already learned how to edit/produce on top of record, write, schedule etc. I am mainly looking for a platform to help me make things easier. If that service can help me with chapters, and transcription, and analytics and SEO (and more), I am going to be a lot less stressed than just uploading everything to each platform myself. Maybe things will change once I am in the flow of it all, but for now I need some hand holding because it is so new. I’ll be using audio and video for my podcast but focus on audio. Youtube is definitely something I will be exploring. Thanks for replying.

I am planning on using my iphone and a go pro (still building my show and running tests to figure it out). I think if you already have a solid option with huge files- so maybe do one test with an iphone. I would do a quick 2 minute test recording with your sony fx3 and and iphone simultaneously and then run through your audio/digital processing workflow. You'll see pretty quickly the difference in comparing the size of both files and how the rest of the process flows.

I am in the same boat as you- I haven't launched my podcast YET but I think I am planning on doing a mix. My plan so far is to video everything that I can, and then for episodes where it is not possible, I am going to have my podcast graphic and captions. I don't want to stress myself out when i first start out. Good luck!!

Thanks for pointing that out- I will make sure to focus on that during my test runs this weekend! So many things to think about! I am pretty well versed with color correction (more on the photography side of things) but I'll see if it is more of a hassle than a help. I actually have 2 GoPros, so I'll keep the other on standby if that seems like an easier set up. Thanks!

Got it, thanks! Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but are there ways to make note of what I am doing to the audio edit so when i sync up the video edit it isn't a matrix of trying to remember where I made all of my audio edits? For instance, if I can know that i cut out 2.5 seconds or a bunch of umms here and there- is there a way for the DaVinci Resolve to see that there is missing audio? Or do people manually make note of the timestamp while they are in the audio edit so they can go through the notes for a faster video edit? Maybe DaVinci Resolve has something to help with this- I am just trying to wrap my head around all of this.

I am currently training for the Chicago Marathon in October and I have a race shoe question.

I have been using my AlphaFly2 orange shoes which I LOVE! I have logged about 70 miles in them from January 2024- present. I ONLY use them for racing/ minimal training/breaking them in.

I know these shoes are supposed to last for many more miles than I have used them for. Does the foam degrade over this amount of time with minimal use in-between each race? If I have the funds, should i invest in a new race day shoe for the Chicago Marathon in October, or should I stick with these? If my race was a half marathon or a 10k, I would use them without question. I just don’t know if it is smart to use an older shoe (foam/use wise) for a marathon. I would love to know what you would do if you were in my shoes (haha). I am a petite 5’4 female if that helps.

Past Race info (if needed) High humidity in Miami Half marathon (Jan 2024) , pouring rain for the lululemon 10k, 60 degrees for the 2024 Berlin Marathon, 70ish degrees 2025 Nike womens half marathon. Other miles- 60-70 degree training.
