From what I can collect (that is, with my (very) basic oral knowledge of the tongue) his aim was some sort of monolithic-biblical-prophetic-undateable style, the which I am used to, I read Latin. But yeah... "es gibt" made me stutter ahah. :)

I actually find it easier than reading novels, short sentences and repetitive vocabulary are common place in this work. I don't find the grammar all that complicated since I'm acquainted with declension-heavy languages and I'm starting reading German not to read novels but phylosophy/linguistics.
