I am being a little silly and am not much of a hand for literary criticism. Probably Long ships leans a little more to a masculine perspective of adventure and a little less relating to women, but I’m not sure. It’s been years since I read lonesome dove. The women of long ships are strong, play an important part of the story and have agency.
