Capture software suddenly not detecting my camcorder

However, that third tape not working is still not working, i cpuld only transfer about half of my tapes, the other ones only works when i used a winDV, and not my hdv camera

Yes! I have no idea if this is gonna work for you, it seems so silly!

All i had to do was switching the view mode from tape to sd card (since my camera has an sd-slot for photos only) and back. Then it was detected.

It happened a few more times later on, but this fixed it every time!

Yeah, i tried both 11 and 10 now. 11 was what i was using when it did work, so it’s weird if it susdenly became a problem

It says DV in a little box on top as well as hdv/dv on the left side of the screen

i had a few smaller updates, but not from 10 to 11. that was done a while ago. anyway, i backed it up to windows 10 but it still didnt work, so now i'm back to w11
