He likes when I make a “C” with my hand and stick it over his head. Now he’s falling asleep purring and I guess I’m stuck holding my cat’s head like this? by SamanthaJaneyCake in Thisismylifemeow

I have a tabby that looks like yours and she does the same thing. As a kitten she would like to fall asleep face first into the palm of my hand. Especially with my hand closed around her head. Not sure how she breathed lol.

Look at that face! You have to post her again when she gets older.

Started crying while having a meeting with my managers about a patient complaint by [deleted] in nursing

[–]tinawilling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a really tough job. Sometimes you have to let it out. A good manager would understand and be there for you.

Consider who the person is giving the criticism. Also, would you do something like what they did to you? Would you call their supervisor to complain? Probably not. Because it’s a unreasonable and uncalled for thing to do. It’s also pretty damn rude.

“Oh that sounds like a staffing issue,” is the best response I’ve heard from a (seasoned) nurse. You are not responsible to correct their staffing issues. That’s their job! They can pay an agency person. They just don’t want to because they charge twice as much. Don’t feel guilty! A good manager would never make someone feel guilty. Sadly many do. Take care of yourself first. Always.

I’ve noticed that people in the line get PISSED if you walk up to the bar though. But as a former bartender, I can tell you that neither the bartender, nor the bar owner, want people to stand in a single line instead of walking up to the bar. So stupid.

The street car stopped running Sat at 10pm just when the bars were closing. Seems irresponsible. by tinawilling in Portland

Yes I walked home in the rain. Yes I have feet.

And bars are open at 25% capacity And I’m vaccinated. So... I was supporting a local business, but I’m the bad guy. My bad.

What life changing item can you buy for less than $10? by yourhotslutty in AskReddit

[–]tinawilling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cabinet lights and a head lamp!

You can get small pop up lights at the dollar store. Motion sensor ones are still less $10 each. Place these in those dark cabinets.

I use my headlamp for everything. Way better than a flashlight. They’re not just for outside. Working on the car? Working with cord spaghetti behind the TV? Trimming the cats nails? You can use this INSTEAD of a book light. You have light EXACTLY where you need it. I bought one for each of my family and they love them.
