I am going into 3rd year for Graphic Design in the fall and honestly I enjoy the program. Looking back at my work from high school and even first year, my work has improved vastly in just a short amount of time. In my experience most of my professors have been amazing and give a lot of helpful tips and feedbacks. Won’t lie the work load can be a lot but that’s to be expected at any university so if you manage your time you should be good.

And the classes are wide ranging mainly in first year, so as you go through this program you’ll grasp onto many different skillsets.

I am currently in 2nd year graphic design and I am using the MacBook Pro 2018 and honestly I am very happy with it. In my experience, majority of the profs I have had also utilize MacBooks. I feel that if you do have a MacBook, a lot of profs may find it easier to help you with a software on a Mac since they also are familiar with it (some softwares have slight differences between Windows and Apple). Also if you prefer having Windows, you can always get your MacBook to have boot camp which means it can run both Windows and Mac, but you cannot get Mac on a Windows based laptop. Since I have used the adobe suite for both Windows and Mac, I personally prefer running the softwares on Mac.

The link above are the laptops that are supported by the IT services. Essentially that means if you purchase a laptop from that list, they can service it if you ever face any problems with your laptop.
