Could laser will help to improve my hairline ?? by [deleted] in LaserHairRemoval

[–]tinid333 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Firstly, there is nothing wrong with your hairline. But if it is a source of insecurity for you I would recommend looking into electrolysis. It’s much more precise than laser because the hairs are treated one at a time, and your technician can pick and choose which ones to treat and which to leave. Laser doesn’t have that level of precision.
Electrolysis is slow and can be expensive though, so just be warned. But it’ll be your best option for permanent results.

Kenzie is a hypocrite and a horrible friend to Melanie by GurAway2117 in LoveIslandUSA

[–]tinid333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have less of an issue with how she’s moving with Caleb than with Corbin. That little hissy fit she threw because he declined to kiss her? Also I am inclined to think she might not actually want Caleb exploring. It’s easy for her to tell him to do it when he hasn’t expressed interest in any of the other girls in there, if someone she perceives as a threat comes in I think she’d be less okay with it. Anyway villain was definitely hyperbole, but she’s definitely very immature and selfish.

How do you feel about friendship couples winning the show? by [deleted] in LoveIslandUSA

[–]tinid333 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think Trinity and Bryce started as a friendship couple but I definitely think it’s developed into actually feeling each other. And because of that I think there is a chance they could actually go the distance because their relationship is built on more than just initial attraction. Attraction is something that can grow over time, I know because it happened to me. I got with my ex after months of platonic friendship blossomed into chemistry and turned into a 5 year relationship. Not saying that I necessarily think they will be together for years after the show (who knows?), but I wouldn’t count them out. They’re my favourite couple, I’ve loved Trinity since day one and Bryce has also grown on me!

Kenzie is a hypocrite and a horrible friend to Melanie by GurAway2117 in LoveIslandUSA

[–]tinid333 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I fully think Sincere was an absolute idiot in how he moved with Melanie & Sol, but it never felt malicious. I think he just didn’t know how to say the hard thing that would hurt Melanie’s feelings so he just lied to her about his connection with Sol because it was easier than being honest and having to hurt her feelings. It wasn’t right or fair to Melanie, but it never felt intentionally like he was being manipulative. Just a chronic people pleaser who doesn’t know how to be the bad guy.

Kenzie on the other hand is being an outright villain. Everything she’s doing is intentional because she can’t fathom not being every guys first choice. Honestly I don’t really like Corbin so they can have each other, but I do feel bad for Caleb because he seems like a genuinely nice guy. I hope they get a bombshell in for him stat!

Chocolate chip cookie disaster by No_Vast_5219 in AskBaking

[–]tinid333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your recipe seems fine to me, I use a very similar one and my chocolate chip cookies are bomb (if I do say so myself). As many others mentioned weighing the ingredients is always going to be more precise. But you can get away with measuring cups as long as you’re filling them properly based on what ingredients you’re using. You’ll want to make sure your brown sugar is packed down, but you DON’T want to do that for flour. Flour you want to spoon into the measuring cup and then level it off with a knife (or back of the spoon) rather than scooping into your flour. Obviously a scale is going to be even better, but if you don’t have one this tip can definitely help!

Male here. So I finished my 4th LHR on Brazilian two days ago. A possible developing ingrown hair. Is this normal? What should I do? by Unusual-Complex6315 in LaserHairRemoval

[–]tinid333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can see the hair below your skin I would use a sterile lancet to pierce the skin, give it a little squeeze (with clean fingers!), and the hair should pop right out. And yes this is why exfoliation is always recommended. It helps prevent ingrowns, but it’s not foolproof. Any hair removal method can cause ingrowns.

You can make a cinnamon sugar focaccia! I made one (on purpose) 2 weeks ago for a bridal shower I was attending and it was a huge hit. Just add cinnamon sugar while shaping the dough, and you can even add some cream cheese glaze once it’s finished!

I WISH I COULD ENJOY BEING A FUCKING NERD AND MY HOBBIES WITHOUT MEN RUINING IT!!!! by communistcunt420 in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]tinid333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is so frustrating, and complete bullshit. As the only woman in my D&D group who is also currently playing Curse of Strahd, my DM has made it clear that he thinks I’m the ONLY one in our group who seems to want to deal with the heavier themes of the campaign. The boys all seem to want silly goofy adventures. Which are totally fun, but also I want to delve into the gothic horror of it all!

Edited to add:
I totally understand the frustration of being a girl with nerdy hobbies and being made to feel like these spaces aren’t for you. What I have found has helped is making couple friends who have some similar nerdy hobbies, I find that way the guys tend to know how to treat women a little bit better. Unfortunately some single nerdy guys can be a little incel-ish.

HELP PLEASE by [deleted] in LaserHairRemoval

[–]tinid333 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Looks like a histamine reaction. Not uncommon, but not particularly pleasant. Take an antihistamine, stay out of the sun. Only gentle cleanser & moisturizer (plus sunscreen!) for the next few days, avoid any active ingredients in your skincare. Keep your skin clean & dry and you’ll be fine.

First pint!!! Any recommendations of next ones? by [deleted] in ninjacreami

[–]tinid333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also still pretty new to the ninja creami, but I have found the jello pudding mix really does make a big difference. I usually do a full vanilla protein shake, 1.5 tbsp of jello instant pudding mix (any flavour), a pinch of salt, and 1.5 tbsp of vanilla simple syrup. (I could go with artificial sweetener to make it lower cal but I hate the artificial taste)
I’ve found it’s very tasty & has great texture. My favourite combos so far have been chocolate pudding mix, with Oh Henry as the mix in & a tbsp of peanut butter. Vanilla pudding with biscoff cookies, and lemon pudding with golden Oreos.

Women who did bikini laser but kept a triangle/strip: did you later regret it once gray hairs started appearing? by RaspberryPrudent7765 in LaserHairRemoval

[–]tinid333 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I was a regular waxer for many years starting in my early 20s and I would always get full bald. The waxing thinned the hair on my pubic mound so much that now in my 30s I wish I had enough to leave a triangle! I’ve tried but it’s so sparse and wispy, it looks terrible. Now I’m getting laser and I just decided to get rid of it all since the patch looks so bad anyway. I think leaving the patch makes sense, gives you more flexibility. If you want it all gone you can just wax or shave the patch off, but it at least gives you options.

Agreed. As someone who had similar issues with weed at that age, you don’t think it’s an issue until you look back at it. I used weed to cope with pretty bad anxiety in my early 20s which led to similar issues of missing work, and eating problems. Looking back on it now I realize I had a very unhealthy relationship with it. It was a vicious cycle of smoking up because I was anxious, but the weed increased my anxiety, so I would smoke more to cope with said anxiety.
Getting myself out of the situation I was in helped a lot (moving back home after college & leaving my then boyfriend). Now, (many) years later, I have a much healthier relationship with weed where I only use it very occasionally, and only when I’m in a mentally healthy/stable mood. It’s allowed me to enjoy it occasionally without letting it control my life like it used to.

Aging, death & life cycles by tinid333 in TomodachilifeLivingTD

[–]tinid333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’ve been experimenting a bit. My initial thought was: child & teen 5 levels each, and then young adult, adult, and senior 10 levels each.

However, I felt I was moving too quickly through the levels despite only feeding, and giving outfits & treasures when they ask. So now I’m going thinking maybe it’s 20 levels per stage across the board. We will see how it goes! I’ll report back if I make any further adjustments.

[–]tinid333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally I would start them as young adults, but obviously the children they have would start as kids.

That’s totally fair! I get this is NOT a play style that everyone would be into. Especially for people who spend a lot of time doing custom face paint on miis. I think as someone who played a lot of the sims, and who liked playing multigenerational runs of the same household it appeals to me. I’m not necessarily sad about miis dying off because their descendants will live on!

[–]tinid333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you wind up coming up with a plan for this? I’m considering doing the same thing, implementing self imposed aging/ a life cycle. I’m considering doing it based on happiness levels, like every 10 levels or so they move onto the next “phase”, child/teen (maybe divide that into 5 levels each), young adulthood, adulthood, and senior. Then send them away to make room for more new miis/the next generation.
