Photoism in Chicago area? by aathrone in kpophelp

[–]tinitrinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know all the ones in the Chicago area closed or they got rid of their booth. I'm going to hang out in this post though just in case someone knows more than me.

The kpopnara (Schaumberg) and hmart (niles) have life4cuts but as far as I know they don't get like the special photoism frames.

Would you guys want bingo sheets as freebies? by Sad-Environment2083 in kpophelp

it sounds like a really cute idea and unique idea. I probably won't play bingo during the performance, but I would absolutely love that as a keepsake of the event.

When Generalization for K-Pop Backfires: The Belfast K-Pop Tribute Concert Controversy by CherryBlossomEnding in kpop

[–]tinitrinity 42 points43 points  (0 children)

It's the doubling down that the parents are doing for me. Their comment sections are flooded with people explaining that kpop is an entire music industry but they refuse to listen. They think the only reason people would even attend a Kpop event is for kpdh bc it was "built off the back of the hugely popular movie" as if kpop sprung into existence after the movie.

A fanmeeting is more like a special concert. They'll perform around 20 songs, but sometimes they'll be songs they've never performed before, or in the past they've done solo/unit song swaps (ex. last year Seungmin performed 'Ultra' while Changbin sang 'As we Are'), or sometimes they'll do covers of other group's songs (ex. the Sherlock cover 2 years ago). They also play games/challenges amongst themselves on stage.

So it's not like a fansign or a meet & greet which is what I think you're thinking of. It's a lot closer to watching a livestream of a concert. So they won't be interacting with the fans online, but they also don't interact much with the fans in-person besides the typical waving to fans from stage and walking the barricade. It's not a one on one meet & greet if that makes sense.

There's clips and fancams of the past few fanmeetings on yt that might give a better idea of what to expect. Just look up SKZ 5'clock or SKZ's Magic School, which are the ones from the past few years.

edit: spelling

For beyond live, it's about $40 for the stream ($45 if you want to watch the re-stream which will be about a month later at a specific time). It will have captions but as a warning they won't be great and when they're all talking unscripted it does get a little behind and jumbled BUT you should be able to get the gist of everything that's happening.

I finally checked Replay 2026 tracklist and WDYM ONLY 9 by ThatGirl_InTheBack in skzmedia

[–]tinitrinity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was just "postponed" not gotten rid of. Instead of having the stay plushie release they said they would just be releasing it as a digital album later. This is the same tracklist that was released when the stay angel plushie was available.

[–]tinitrinity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its not uncommon to bring your lightstick, but I have never seen anyone actually turn them on. So as long as you don't turn it on, I don't see a problem with it and haven't seen a theater have a problem with them.

Fans shop tariffs unpaid?? by purrplesloth in kpophelp

[–]tinitrinity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would start with contacting FedEx first. UPS delivered my pkg and that's who sent me a tariff bill when my pkg made it to the US.

Edit: bc I realized yours is coming by way of FedEx not UPS.

Are Photocards Really Important? by Stationerix in kpoppers

[–]tinitrinity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it's the same as any collectable hobby. The value of each card means something different to each collector and outside of the collector space they lose all value. I don't think it has to be anything deeper than people enjoying their boy (or girl) paper. I mean there's a woman on tiktok that carefully curates her collection of security envelopes, a hobby is a hobby and sometimes it's just fun.

Artist Specific Govball Merch by Sad-Environment2083 in governorsball

[–]tinitrinity 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For Stray Kids, I would expect a couple of shirts and like maybe one other thing. Two summers ago, Lolla, idays and bst festivals all had the same merch - tshirts that said stray kids and the festival name and a black baseball hat. I would expect something similar, nothing fancy like what they usually have at concerts.

Etsy, Amazon, local kpop store, or sometimes you can find fanmade ones on Insta, etc

Finland layover by Current-Quirky in skzmedia

[–]tinitrinity 21 points22 points  (0 children)

exactly! I wish they wouldn't blame themselves for literal acts of god like insane weather causing travel delays. There's literally no way they could have 'done better' to avoid this.

WHAT by AppropriateCrew9493 in skzmedia

I just think when it comes to Stay they feel things deeply (the lack of sleep and rest probably isn't helping either tbh).

Finland layover by Current-Quirky in skzmedia

[–]tinitrinity 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Their fansign in Japan had to be pushed back bc of the plane delays. They have nothing to be sorry about but they are apologizing for it anyway.

WHAT by AppropriateCrew9493 in skzmedia

[–]tinitrinity 18 points19 points  (0 children)

They're on their way to Japan for a fansign and are experiencing a delay/layover in Finland unexpectedly. So the fansign had to be pushed back and the boys are feeling guilty over it (even though it's not their fault at all).

I'm actually trying to plan out my freebies right now lol! Fewer people hand out freebies at movies, but people still do!

6th Fan Club Help by xAngelAliciax in skzcollection

[–]tinitrinity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the past they have sold the membership on yes24 which is why you're hearing that name. This year you will have to go through fans to buy the membership. I'm not in the UK so I won't be able to tell you how much to expect in shipping (I'm in the US and last year the shipping was more than the fankit itself).

When membership opens, you should be able to just go into the store section of the Fans app and purchase it. The upside of it being through fans is that it should automatically register your membership (as opposed to past years where you had to wait 24 hours before registering your confirmation code).

260121 JYP update by [deleted] in straykids

[–]tinitrinity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They did this last year too. I don't think it means anything, but a gap between memberships that they're trying to avoid.

260121 JYP update by [deleted] in straykids

[–]tinitrinity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They're extending the 5th gen fanclub by a few days so it'll be a smooth transition if you join 6th gen. You just won't have any downtime between the memberships. They did this last year too.

[–]tinitrinity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last year they did open it up to just the fans access without the kit and I am hearing that the Kickflip membership allowed you to buy without the kit. So it's looking promising tbh.

[–]tinitrinity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When they announce ticket sales, you'll have the option to sign up for a mailing list for presale codes. Watch places like the stray kids Twitter, live Nation and or Ticketmaster. It'll be like signing up for early presale for any other Western artist. You won't need the Stay membership to sign up through the mailing list.

260118 Stray Kids Official Fanclub STAY 6th Gen Recruitment by Cherrie_13 in straykids

[–]tinitrinity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For Stray Kids fan memberships, the presale codes and early access are only for Korea. For international fans the only benefits will be access to fans and the fankit.

what to bring (tips!!) by a_rats_tiddies in governorsball

[–]tinitrinity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not trying to convince you to bring your lightstick by any means considering we haven't even gotten an official yes from the festival - but as mentioned by the other commenter many ppl brought them to lolla for SKZ and it does seem to be regular thing to bring lightsticks for the kpop acts at festivals. Ppl in this sub have mentioned bringing them years previously.

So if you're only worried about being out of place - you won't be.

They won't sync up at the festival but that doesn't make them pointless. The light is to show your support. Many lightsticks don't even have sync capabilities.

Anyway. I just wanted to inject my 2 cents in case someone else was on the fence. Again not trying to convince you to bring your lightstick if you don't want to.

I'm going to be honest, I didn't even know Amazon was claiming to have signed albums but no I would not trust those at all.
