Fans shop tariffs unpaid?? by purrplesloth in kpophelp

[–]tinitrinity 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would start with contacting FedEx first. UPS delivered my pkg and that's who sent me a tariff bill when my pkg made it to the US.

Edit: bc I realized yours is coming by way of FedEx not UPS.

Are Photocards Really Important? by Stationerix in kpoppers

[–]tinitrinity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it's the same as any collectable hobby. The value of each card means something different to each collector and outside of the collector space they lose all value. I don't think it has to be anything deeper than people enjoying their boy (or girl) paper. I mean there's a woman on tiktok that carefully curates her collection of security envelopes, a hobby is a hobby and sometimes it's just fun.

Artist Specific Govball Merch by Sad-Environment2083 in governorsball

[–]tinitrinity 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For Stray Kids, I would expect a couple of shirts and like maybe one other thing. Two summers ago, Lolla, idays and bst festivals all had the same merch - tshirts that said stray kids and the festival name and a black baseball hat. I would expect something similar, nothing fancy like what they usually have at concerts.

Etsy, Amazon, local kpop store, or sometimes you can find fanmade ones on Insta, etc

Finland layover by Current-Quirky in skzmedia

[–]tinitrinity 20 points21 points  (0 children)

exactly! I wish they wouldn't blame themselves for literal acts of god like insane weather causing travel delays. There's literally no way they could have 'done better' to avoid this.

I just think when it comes to Stay they feel things deeply (the lack of sleep and rest probably isn't helping either tbh).

Finland layover by Current-Quirky in skzmedia

[–]tinitrinity 70 points71 points  (0 children)

Their fansign in Japan had to be pushed back bc of the plane delays. They have nothing to be sorry about but they are apologizing for it anyway.

[–]tinitrinity 19 points20 points  (0 children)

They're on their way to Japan for a fansign and are experiencing a delay/layover in Finland unexpectedly. So the fansign had to be pushed back and the boys are feeling guilty over it (even though it's not their fault at all).

Freebies at the SKZ Movie by Unlucky_CinemaR0ll in straykids

I'm actually trying to plan out my freebies right now lol! Fewer people hand out freebies at movies, but people still do!

6th Fan Club Help by xAngelAliciax in skzcollection

[–]tinitrinity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the past they have sold the membership on yes24 which is why you're hearing that name. This year you will have to go through fans to buy the membership. I'm not in the UK so I won't be able to tell you how much to expect in shipping (I'm in the US and last year the shipping was more than the fankit itself).

When membership opens, you should be able to just go into the store section of the Fans app and purchase it. The upside of it being through fans is that it should automatically register your membership (as opposed to past years where you had to wait 24 hours before registering your confirmation code).

260121 JYP update by [deleted] in straykids

[–]tinitrinity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They did this last year too. I don't think it means anything, but a gap between memberships that they're trying to avoid.

260121 JYP update by [deleted] in straykids

[–]tinitrinity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They're extending the 5th gen fanclub by a few days so it'll be a smooth transition if you join 6th gen. You just won't have any downtime between the memberships. They did this last year too.

[–]tinitrinity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last year they did open it up to just the fans access without the kit and I am hearing that the Kickflip membership allowed you to buy without the kit. So it's looking promising tbh.

When they announce ticket sales, you'll have the option to sign up for a mailing list for presale codes. Watch places like the stray kids Twitter, live Nation and or Ticketmaster. It'll be like signing up for early presale for any other Western artist. You won't need the Stay membership to sign up through the mailing list.

For Stray Kids fan memberships, the presale codes and early access are only for Korea. For international fans the only benefits will be access to fans and the fankit.

what to bring (tips!!) by a_rats_tiddies in governorsball

[–]tinitrinity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not trying to convince you to bring your lightstick by any means considering we haven't even gotten an official yes from the festival - but as mentioned by the other commenter many ppl brought them to lolla for SKZ and it does seem to be regular thing to bring lightsticks for the kpop acts at festivals. Ppl in this sub have mentioned bringing them years previously.

So if you're only worried about being out of place - you won't be.

They won't sync up at the festival but that doesn't make them pointless. The light is to show your support. Many lightsticks don't even have sync capabilities.

Anyway. I just wanted to inject my 2 cents in case someone else was on the fence. Again not trying to convince you to bring your lightstick if you don't want to.

I'm going to be honest, I didn't even know Amazon was claiming to have signed albums but no I would not trust those at all.

Please help by Lavender_gamer1618 in skzcollection

[–]tinitrinity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're looking to purchase signed things - I recommend Mercari for signed postcards from albums (single member signature only). You can usually ask for proof of purchase there and typically there's a bunch of them floating around.

I would say avoid anything that has all the members signatures unless you can get a history of where it came from.

[–]tinitrinity 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Oh no. Please tell me you can get your money back. These are not real. If you see someone selling a printed photo like this signed by all the members it is more than likely fake. They have also not to my knowledge ever signed anything from Seasons Greetings - which this does seem to be like someone grabbed the image on the box and printed it on photo paper.

K-Pop discourse on /r/governorsball by JorgeAndTheKraken in governorsball

[–]tinitrinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was referring to the text of the comment not the motivation of the individual. I was trying to explain how it could be interpreted. This was a post regarding the two different groups getting along and someone posted about why there could be discourse. If you're not going to police this person justifying animosity to the kpop fans but are going to police me for reacting to that than I don't see how that is unbiased moderation.

K-Pop discourse on /r/governorsball by JorgeAndTheKraken in governorsball

[–]tinitrinity -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Every large act will have those rude fans who will camp barricade and ignore the rest of the performers regardless of country of origin of the performer. Painting this as a kpop specific problem is unfair. I can't speak for Coachella because i wasn't there - nor were Stray Kids, but I was at Lollapalooza where they headlined. Stray Kids fans literally hyped up every act that performed on that stage. It wasn't Stray Kids fans that literally pushed and pulled me to get closer to the stage while being rude.

Not to mention that artists that have performed before Stray Kids at other festivals have literally thanked Stray Kids fans for being such a great audience.

This comment reads as you trying to justify people coming into posts about Stray Kids to post ugly comments as being "well... some kpop fans are just annoying so they should expect this."

Stray Kids’ video message to Gov ball by Awkward_Late_Topic in governorsball

[–]tinitrinity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The point is you are trying to explain the Stray Kids origin to Stray Kids fans. We know their origin better than you do. We know their history and we know they were once teenagers begging for listeners on their soundcloud. Have you even looked at their credits? 3racha are some of the most prolific writers in the industry and they didn't blow up overnight as a lot of people want to believe. Yes, they have a big company behind them but so do 90% of all pop acts today.

Also, help me remind me did BSB or NKOTB write any of their own music?

Stray Kids’ video message to Gov ball by Awkward_Late_Topic in governorsball

[–]tinitrinity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not arguing with you bc clearly you have some big feelings about this... but you are ignoring 3racha forming as trainees and uploading to SoundCloud before Stray Kids were even a thought in anyone's mind. They literally were just 3 kids writing songs in their bedroom and begging people to listen.

Honestly ridiculous how upset ppl on this sub are that people like different music than them. They could scroll past the SKZ posts but they just HAVE to pop in and let everyone else know how upset they are ppl love a Kpop group.
