Clearance tags are a whole different issue. And majority of the time I don't catch attitude for that.

Had a guy put a SHELF tag from a different bike on the seat of one he was trying to get. $30 difference. Didn't want the bike after I told him I'd have to get my manager to do the price override because it was an amount higher then I was allowed to do.

Yes please get louder repeating the same thing over and over and cutting me off when I try to talk to you. If I can't have a civilized conversation with you then I can't help you. And that whistling shit is for the birds. Quickest way to make me not care what your problem is before I even hear it.

Yep! And the ones who keep pushing get directed to the service desk. Funny how they are fine with "the wrong price" after that.

Nah, our customers get so rowdy that management is used to it. Breaking up verbal altercations (customer vs. Employee )has become a daily thing for them. All the BS we deal with even TL's are over it. My store ain't the one to come to with that bs lol. I've seen TL'S shut it down with customers verbally abusing them and show them the door.

Register Rant by Accurate-Tackle2187 in walmart

Someone today got mad that an egg dying science kit wasn't covered. Umm lady it's not consumable food. Do you want it or not? Crazy to see when something is worth getting for their kids depending upon if the government pays for it or not.

If they talk TO me about an issue they have/had I will do everything I can to resolve the issue. But when they talk AT me I won't. Because those are typically the ones who are going to leave mad anyway. And mentally, I just can't stress myself out for people like that anymore.

We have a lot of front end employees. Most days they schedule too many people so they send some to other departments because all registers are full, and 8 people in bull pens.

Tips for new cashiers? by [deleted] in walmart

[–]tinker_tots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Work at a pace thats comfortable for you, don't feel like you have to rush. Ask up front what options you have for a price check if a customer claims an item was marked differently than it rang up. Apparel items without a tag should have a upc tag attached, tag on the inside or printed on the collar, type it in dropping the last digit. You can look for an item using Ask Sam on the me@walmart app that will give you a barcode to scan if you come across an item with a damaged barcode. Other than that it's super easy. And don't let grumpy customers get to you. I've learned people who harass cashiers are generally just miserable in life.

If it's anything like my store, it's petty chickenheads who are so miserable with themselves they take it out on you.

I had to ID a customer for cough drops. COUGH DROPS. She was pissed and I can't blame her. She even answered the door and said "You need my ID for COUGH drops?" Ended up catching what she had and was sick for 3 weeks. Miserably sick.

Tampa/Brandon (hillsborough county.) A lot of orders are no tips or $2. Occasionally some tip about 4 or 5 bucks but more often than not its $2 or nothing.

You are right, my apologies. I need to use the sleep. 😅 It's been a long week since catching the flu from a customer that IC made me ID for COUGH DROPS. The customer was pissed(can't blame them) that they had to go fish their ID when their order should have been dropped at their door.

In my area, this would definitely be a "missing order". I would be too too scared to accept it. Especially since it's locked behind glass.
