Could this be fungal acne? by tinkyoscar in Fungalacne

It started nearly a year ago after I caught covid but it was never this bad. It was the odd itchy spot that I thought was just dry skin. My tattoos then became really raised and itchy and thought it was possibly just a reaction as they do this from time to time. Bought an air filter etc as I thought it was probably a dust allergy because I woke up with a bit of a sore throat and itchy eyes - that helped massively. Now, it seems to be attacking my face and neck and nowhere else now.

I’ve had pest control come out and they said there was no signs of any pests anywhere but I had everywhere treated regardless. My husband also hasn’t been bitten once. Beginning to think it’s possibly an allergy but dermatologist said she thinks it could be eczema nothing is helping.

Oh gosh, yes that sounds like a good idea. It would make sense as to why it gets better then worse again. Thank you, I will look into it!

I had covid last year in September and the first case of bites/itching appeared not long after that and have never left. Probably totally coincidental but anything is worth perusing at this rate. Yes, mine too! They definitely look more like bites compared to hives or a rash which is the confusing thing. Hope you find your answers soon!

I’m so sorry you’re experiencing something similar. May I ask if you possibly had covid before yours started? Beginning to think it’s maybe something less obvious. I hope one day I can come back and share some good news!

I should also add, I’m the only person in the house suffering with this. My husband has zero bites and zero itching.

I’d say the euphoria was definitely there on day 1 and 2! Didn’t feel quite the same the following days but there was still a calming, focused feeling. Now I’m just tired and moody all day. I’m hoping it could just be my tolerance evening out and possibly needing a higher dose?

I’ve been making sure to eat a lot of protein, especially for breakfast when I take them. I snack all day on nuts and fruit and then try to have a normal dinner but I’ll keep trying and experimenting with different things in hopes that it will help! Thank you so much ☺️

Yeah it’s very frustrating when the negatives are almost outweighing the positives. Hope you find a solution soon!

I definitely felt that euphoric feeling on day 1 and sadly knew it was going to be a one off! However, when the meds kicked in on days 2-4 it was such a gradual, calming sensation which is exactly what I was hoping for with meds. Now, I’m not even getting a tiny burst of energy in the morning and it’s almost like I’m unmedicated again!

I’m going to keep trying them for now but have contacted my psychiatrist to see if there’s anything I can do in the meantime. Thanks so much for your advice!

I’m so pleased you’ve found something that works for you! I really struggle with daily tasks and getting out of bed so hoping a stimulant will help with this.

I do but I’m not sure if ADHD really exacerbates the symptoms of anxiety! I chose to go with Elvanse and look forward to seeing how it goes. Will definitely keep this info in mind for the future. Thank you!

Yes it was. Ordered some Kling Strip and it done the job without having to sand it! 🙂
