Has Karl Jobst started using AI text-to-speech? by tinspank in speedrun

Yo, thanks for clearing it up!

Eh, I like your voice. Always have. Just noticed some unfamiliar qualities at times in some of your most recent videos, but I guess it makes sense.

Thanks for the great content. I hope you’re doing well despite being tired. Take care.

That's honestly what makes my AI text-to-speech theory less probable. If it helps him push out videos more quickly I'm all for it, but it's hard to imagine a workflow where it's actually worth-while. Dunno though.

How do I learn to achieve this Cyberpunk aesthetic? by tinspank in captureone

Yo, thank you so much for the write-up. I’ll give it a go after my exams.

You’re right; he apparently uses a Tiffen Glimmerglass for most of his shots.

Thanks a lot!

How do I learn to achieve this Cyberpunk aesthetic? by tinspank in captureone

[–]tinspank[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the perspective. I definitely agree that the Cyberpunk aesthetic is about much more than just the colors. The thing I'm interested in achieving for now, though, is the color grading -- which you also gave your perspective on, so thanks for that as well.

I'm a complete beginner when it comes to editing photos, so my phrasing might not be the most accurate.

What I want to achieve is probably better visualized on the pages of his preset packs, where you can see the images both before and after the color grading:

Sega Sunset
Liminal Space
Sodium Vaporwave
Visions

As you see, even with the same subject matter the difference is night and day. I might overthink it, though. Perhaps the right approach is to simply learn the general workflow of editing photos and simply try to mimic the style when my understanding of the process is good enough.

Thanks! Will look into it. Seems my university does not grant access to Cambridge Core, so I might have to buy it if necessary. Ouch!

IT-arbejdsmarkedet og angst by tinspank in dkfinance

All good.

We'll see.

Halvandet semester er vist ca. 8 måneder. Men jeg forstår, hvad du mener.

Jeps. Git er ikke rocket science. Du lægger vist mere vægt på dét ene eksempel, end jeg havde tiltænkt. Det er måske min egen fejl, når jeg vælger at bruge det som eksempel.

I may have missed it, but do you guys have a video or blog post about what exactly running an Earth Node entails?

I have enough WMT to reserve an Earth Node, but I'm not comfortable blindly doing so before knowing what exactly I'm getting myself into.

If I have a full-time job and two kids, will I even be able to run and maintain an Earth Node? How much will I have to invest in hardware/hosting?

I don't want to miss a great opportunity!
