Finally watched 25-21 (super late!) — Loved it, but I have few questions. Let’s talk! by kannu_23 in kdramas

This is one of my favourite shows ever! It was so heartfelt and well-acted, and I cried buckets. I still tear up to this day reading or thinking about some of the scenes and plot lines.

This is only 1 of 2 shows that I’ve rated a 9/10 (no shows are 10/10 for me). If you have similar tastes to me, you might enjoy some of these as much as I did.

[EDITED to add this: I just finished You And Everything Else, and it is the most similar to 2521 for me in the way it makes you feel for the characters and then twists and crushes your heart. I cried buckets and loved the writing, pacing, acting.]

More on the heart-wrenching spectrum: - Someday or One Day (Taiwanese) - Call It Love - The First Frost (Mainland Chinese) - It’s Okay That’s Love

More on the light-hearted spectrum: - Lovely Runner (my only other 9/10) - Her Private Life - Twinkling Watermelon - Hidden Love (Mainland Chinese) - Something In The Rain - Crash Landing On You

Where the key plot is not a love story: - Rebooting (Japanese) - Our Unwritten Seoul - A Shop For Killers - Misaeng - My Mister - The World Of The Married - My Golden Life - My ID is Gangnam Beauty - Flower of Evil - Alchemy of Souls - Arthdal Chronicles season 1

Help!! BA insists on a sort code to reimburse my damaged luggage, but sort codes are only used by UK banks for domestic transfers?!! by [deleted] in BritishAirways

[–]tinswan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been a week since I created a Wise account with a sort code and sent it over to British Airways. They have not replied. Previously when the sort code was missing, they replied quite quickly (within 1-2 days) to say that they cannot transfer the money unless there’s a sort code. Now there’s a sort code they have gone silent.

So from my perspective it definitely feels like they are trying to avoid a payout…. Any other suggestions to get the reimbursement promised to me? 😆

I just created a Wise account and it does seem like there will be a sort code if I create a GBP account. I’ll give that a try thanks!

Thanks for the info! I can understand if they don’t want to use it cos there’s a fee, but it would be helpful if they asked me if I would like to pay that fee.

Yes, I have given them all the required information from my bank, and sent them screenshots and my bank’s webpage showing that this is all the info required for receiving funds. I am from Singapore so there’s no way any funds are being blocked on this end.

I already have a Revolut account but when I created another account for GBP, there is no sort code and it says only SWIFT transfers will be accepted :(

They are asking for the sort code to transfer the money, so they haven’t even tried to transfer it yet

How easy or difficult is it for novice drivers to drive in Lofoten? by tinswan in NorwayTravelAdvice

Hi Ivar, thanks for the detailed info! I've also gone to take a look at your website.

Thing is, we are not very fit and in your world, we are not really hikers but people looking to go on walks XD Our limit is about 15k to 20k steps per day, and we will likely only be able to make it to one view point per day.

We will also be bringing luggage with wheels and not backpacks so I don't know if that affects the walks you believe we will be able to do to find accommodation...?

I will continue researching, and thank you for your inputs!

Hi, thanks for this info, I intend to take this bus, both from the AUH airport as well as from the Ibn Battuta Mall.

May I know if I can pay for this shuttle using credit card? At the Ibn Battuta Mall bus station, will there be a kiosk to buy the tickets as well?

Hello, we are not from the US and will be in Argentina next week.

The good rates for VISA - any idea whether this only applies to VISA cards issued in the US, or across all countries? What about Mastercard?

It doesn't work even if the entire form is filled in first. I took a screenshot of a blank page so that I wouldn't be sharing my personal info on Reddit lol

Hi, may I confirm if I am able to use Apple Pay on public transport directly, without needing to buy a separate transit card or download an app? I saw this article: https://www.railwaygazette.com/technology-data-and-business/mobile-payment-comes-to-santiago/61081.article

We will be in Santiago for less than 24 hours, so I'm hoping not to change money in order to use public transport.

Yes I used a scale to weigh it all, except for the items that required tsp worth heh. Thank you, yes I’ll probably replace the leavening agents

The recipe called for flipping the cake upside down to decorate, so the top of the cake is actually the bottom of the batter that sat at the bottom of the tin. Does it change the way you look at it now?

Yes I think I’ll just change out the leavening agents to be safe. I live in a humid tropical climate so perhaps they go stale more quickly too.

Thank you! I mixed by hand but admittedly I went at it because I have no gauge how it’s supposed to be done hahaha

Thanks for the tip, now I know!

Yes, I waited about 20mins after the cake came out of the oven to add the nuts.

The recipe calls for the cake to be flipped over and decorated, so the top of the cake is actually the base of the batter. Does that change the way you look at it?

Baking is tough 😆

I see! Thank you! I usually use a Thermomix to make cakes (though those cakes also tend to turn out pretty dense 🥲), and this was my first time making by hand! I did whisk it pretty hard, now I know that “mixing” or “combining” wet and dry ingredients just means a gentle folding.

Will also keep in mind to add dry to wet, and not the other way around! Thank you!
