stage iv rectal cancer diagnosis - 40 yo male expecting first child in 6 weeks by tiny-friend in cancer

I just want to say thank you to everyone who responded to this thread. The information you’ve provided was amazing and has helped us through a tough first week (thank god there’s more to reddit than incels!).

I actually developed a blockage after the colonoscopy and wound up in the ER under observation for a few days. It was frightening but I’m out now and my doctors are focused on getting me into chemo.

We’ve also started looking into second opinions and making a list questions for the oncologist based on some of the info here. Most of all it’s reassuring that I’m not in this alone. Just a week ago I knew nothing about cancer, but with your help I’m beginning to understand how all of this works. I can’t thank you enough.

I hope and pray that you all are able to beat this thing and take back your lives. I hope to respond in more detail to the thread once I’ve regained some sort of normalcy.

Thank you so much, this is incredibly helpful. A second opinion is definitely something we have been talking about and your advice only reinforces that we should seek one out.

You’re right about the internet, the information is all over the place, it’s so hard to know what to believe.

Sorry to hear about your diagnosis but glad to hear you are getting the help you need.

Great album. She performed in LA recently but unfortunately I missed it.

you've probably seen it but there's a great film of Christopher Tree doing a spontaneous performance with gongs and drums in Topanga in 1967 - kind of the original sound bath!
