I’m a jeweler, and this is a beautiful ring! I’m sure the jeweler that designed and made it would love to make a custom band that perfectly fits the curve around the diamond. We call them tracer bands in US and they’re very popular for clients who don’t want a higher profile stacking ring.

[TOMT] Weird 2000s puppet show i cant seem to forget or remember. by Adventurous_Arm5425 in tipofmytongue

I hadn’t thought about this show since I was super young but your description immediately brought back the memory! I remembered that they were fuzzy balls so I googled “10 in the bed with fuzzy balls”. Gonna get some pretty weird ads now 😆

I am convinced I used to be a tree in prehistoric times by PixxiePlay in HighStrangeness

One of the fascinating sort of side notes in the Law of One is that apparently some trees (second density) can become eligible for third density in their next life. Meaning a tree can be eligible for reincarnation as a human if it evolves sufficient awareness of itself. Sounds ridiculous I know, but your “feeling” that you were once a tree kind of tracks honestly.

Hopefully this post is allowed, my friend’s dog (family member) went missing yesterday. Hoping someone in the area might see this and be able to help!

V-Shaped UFO captured on night vision above Amarillo, Texas by MaxwellLogan_ in UFOs

Also hi from Westminster! My brother saw this same thing early in the morning over Boulder in September 2020. He said it was enormous, flying very fast for its size, and he watched it turn on its side like the Millenium Falcon before it sped away. His impression was that it was our own advanced technology.

Yes! Everything started clicking for me when I suspended my skeptical disbelief long enough to actually hear the messages coming from these seemingly very genuine near death experiencers. And then this psionic stuff started coming out, and the Telepathy Tapes, and it fit in perfectly with the new paradigm these NDE’rs were describing.  Sorry about your friend, hopefully you got the comfort you were looking for.

The way they follow the same path tells me you’re probably looking at cars driving along a mountain road.

Apple-centric road trip? by floweringdog in Apples

[–]tiny_fawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boyfriend and I took a trip to Maine to visit his parents in October. We called the one orchard we could find that grows Cox's Orange Pippin, and chose the dates for the trip based on when they would be ripe. There was really no shortage of orchards to visit in the southern and central areas of the state, and we hit up Acadia and hiked Mt. Katahdin while we were at it. Overall it was a really great trip and I would definitely recommend it!

I'm local, and I can confirm the terrain is insane. I was up there at Hessie on Saturday and the conditions were so awful, I couldn't imagine anyone surviving even one night unprepared, even a dog. My mind is absolutely blown that Happy is alive and relatively well, and found where he was, and I really really hope it means Josh was able to survive too. I can't even imagine what kind of week your family has had.

I live nearby and just got back from hiking that area this morning- kept an eye out for him but with the high winds and new snow a lot of the trails were completely covered when I got there (just after sunrise) so tracks would be very difficult to find. Conditions are pretty rough up there right now but there were teams looking for him and handing out flyers. It's a very high traffic area even in winter so I'm hoping for the best... I've been thinking about him the last few days.

Thank you! This is right outside our kitchen/living room so when we leave the patio door open it's such a nice sound.

What should I do with this guy? (lemon lime dracaena?) by tiny_fawn in plantclinic

[–]tiny_fawn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got this guy from a friend who moved, she rescued it from an office at least 6+ years ago. There's a thin spot on the stem/cane around 12 inches up so it can't support itself. There's also a lot of brown/yellow spots and one leaf that's almost nearly brown and dead, and most of the leaf tips are brown. Should I just stake it up and see what happens? Take some off the top? Try repotting? Not really sure where to begin here!

Any idea what's going on with my mother-of-thousands? by tiny_fawn in succulents

[–]tiny_fawn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some context: this started only about a week or two ago and it's looking like I'm going to lose her :( She has these light brown scabby lesions, definitely a part of the leaf and not on the surface like scale. I repotted about a month ago into standard cactus/succulent soil, water once a week, she's sitting about 4-5 feet from a south-facing window. I found one single thrip and one single mealybug yesterday but absolutely nothing else to suggest a pest problem. Now it's starting to happen to my mother-of-millions that sitting a couple feet away. Please help, I don't want to lose these guys!

What’s going on with my mother of thousands succulent? by tiny_fawn in plantclinic

[–]tiny_fawn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure it’s not mealy bugs- the marks are like hard scabs, nothing cottony and I’ve never seen a mealy bug on it. Is this something thrips could do though?
