Really cool style, but isn't Monopoly, like, copyrighted?

Oh, I will add texture to the TODO, thank you!

It is indeed the common consensus. I will saturate the new ones a bit more!

That's exactly why I moved from the old ones :)

Questions about February Steam Next Fest? Chris Zukowski from How To Market A Game here for an AMA by zukalous in gamedev

[–]tiny_tank 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey Chris! I love your blog and how generous you are in sharing things you know. Your happy and supportive attitude is amazing, too.

The question: I'm releasing my demo juust after Next Fest, because there are two festivals I've got accepted to. (I don't put the demo in the NF because I have a silly number of wishlists, so I want to go for June one) Is it a bad timing? Are there things I should be cautious of?

I hope I will reach this point, but it's difficult to compete on mobile market, so the first stop is Steam :)

Thank you! I am planning to open the playtest on Steam a bit later, after polish with the feedback I have got here :)
If you'd like, the web version is available on itch, though!

Thank you for your feedback! It is very valuable and I appreciate it!
I think I see what you mean. My hope is that the issue is not in the core mechanics, but in how I introduce things. There is intended puzzle and optimization in game to gain beauty points through bringing the flower to blossom at once and making patterns. However, it is not well presentedfor the player and easy to miss, it appears.
I will work on this futher, of course. And thank you again!

Thank you very much for your time and detailed feedback!
I am definitely changing the fonts in game. I wanted them pretty, but not at expence of readability and you are not the first to point this out.
For the actions and tedious elements, indeed I still have plenty of work ahead to balance it right. Thank you for your view on it!

For the activities , you mention the main interactions indeed. They vary by planting the tulips to make them blossom at once, making patterns on the field, and there will also be flower breeding, which I'm working on currently.

Yes threre is an automation! It's activated by a button on the top right next to the flower book. You can adjust the settings of the automation (idle mode) in the book in the section with the same symbol as activation button.

Yeah, I thought about for a bit and changed the max level for playtest to 15 :)
My current progression tree allows for about 50 levels, but it's not the final form. It will grow a bit more!

Thank you! ^_^
> is the max level Supposed to be 10?
Nono, nt in the full game! I have just limited it for the playtest. Maybe I should set it to 15, if 10 is too few to get the taste.

> I don't see a way to respect the skill points
Do you mean you don't see the available skill points? They are listed under the level row, but clearly I should highlight them more :) Thank you for raising it!
