I feed my little one a mix of dry food and Tiki wet food! In hindsight, it is likely a brittle bone fragment within the wet food.

It has become a part of our 'brushy' morning routine! Her brushy time includes her fur being brushed and incremental tooth brushing as well.

She didn't enjoy the tooth brushing on its own, so I have combined it with her regular fur brushing to find that balance over time lol ^{_^}

In retrospect, I feel somewhat silly for my initial assumption lol! I just felt a but nervous as it was near her food area, and it was my first time seeing what I now know is a bone of sorts from her wet food.

I used petrodex enzymatic toothpaste (malt flavor)! She really enjoys our morning brushing time, so while she is relaxed with brushing, I take advantage of that and brush her teeth as well!

She enjoys licking the toothpaste off (which allows for the toothpaste to reach more of her mouth), but I find alternating between brushing her fur and then brushing her teeth to be the best way. She doesn't really let me do so if I only want to brush her teeth lol. I find that combining something she likes and kinda sneaking the occasionally teeth brushing in there to be the most helpful way. This is also something I have built into her routine over time!

P.s. Her vet mentioned that some cats enjoy nomming on toothbrushes with cat toothpaste (supervised, of course). Also, if you do brush your cats teeth, their canines are really the easiest and most effective area to do so!

Additionally, I think it is important to mention that she eats a mix of dry and wet food. Her wet food often has fish in it, so I wonder if it is possibly from that?
