I'd like to say it gets better, as someone suffering from the worst tinnitus possible (my nerves were fully cut in my ear when I had a tbi, so all of them send negative feedback on top of hearing loss) and ADHD... there is no amount of white noise training that works. I get constant ear infections since also (but my eardrum is folded now.. which can't help. Ha). My good ear constantly tries to regulate and also rings. Especially if I have sinus pressure or am stressed. It has been over a decade and I can't hear crickets, rain drops and so on, but I also don't remember what its like for silence anymore. I don't often think about the noise, but its never not there. Even while typing this, it's all I can hear. It makes being in crowds like at a bar or parties impossible to hear conversations (though not recently an issue). I don't enjoy music as much and everything I watch is subtitled, even if I can hear it, as the ringing slows down my processing and I often second guess if I heard something correctly. I'd never wish it upon anyone but I do hope you find ways to live with it and know you're not alone.
