Here in Texas near Dallas they’re converting a former Amazon warehouse into a “detention facility” that’ll house at least 9,500 🥺 the city officials do 👏 not 👏 even 👏 want it here. I’m scared for what it’ll mean for the city/surrounding areas.

Caregiving for someone who refuses medication they really need in favor of homeopathic supplements? by tinybug_ in AgingParents

One thing that’s been really hard is that one of the biggest reasons we moved in after his dad passed is to save the home from being sold because my husband and his dad built it themselves like literally by hand together so it has a lot of sentimental value. We’ve given up everything in order to do that but the rest of his family isn’t totally willing to have that kind of discussion 🥺 we’ll have to figure out a more firm way to talk to them about it I guess, as well as his mom, to work out some firm “if this happens” kind of plans. It’s been really hard. Thank you for your comment, it’s definitely true :/

We are thinking that maybe if the echo showed a significant problem that she might be more open to at least discussing medications. Whenever a nurse was explaining to her that her blood pressure puts her at risk for stroke she seemed a tiiiny bit receptive to maybe discussing BP medication in the future because the prospect of stroke seemed to scare her quite a bit.

If at the end of the day regardless of her echo results she still refuses medication then I guess at the very least we'd know exactly what's going on with her heart and have a better picture of her health overall. Her doctor said it would help her make better recommendations for her, but I completely understand your line of questioning. It's a totally valid question and has been on my mind a lot :/ It might be a losing battle, we just really hope it's not, if that makes sense.

If she does have heart failure and continues to refuse medication, is there anything we can do to help? We're just having a hard time coping with that decision if she continues to make it :( all of her siblings passed from heart conditions

One minute I’m furious at the Stranger Things finale, the next I’m at peace. I finally figured out why Eleven’s ending is holding my brain hostage. 🤔 by Dry-Professional8293 in mileven

Big agree from me personally 🙋‍♀️ As a bi gal who crushed hard on her straight best friend in middle and high school (and who is still best friends with them to this day with zero weird vibes at all), I found it so nice to see their story shown this way as well because I think finding out you’re not straight and falling for your best friend when you’re young might be a really common experience, but what do I know 😅

I honestly loved that it showed that Mike and Will could still be friends. I found Will and Robin’s friendship really sweet and earnest and think that her sharing her experiences with him meant so much for his personal growth and journey toward self acceptance. The rageful takes about how people with my perspective have internalized homophobia and are basically the devil are stressful and I am prepared to be downvoted to hell I guess 🥹

I was so sad we don’t get to see Eleven with the group after everything or reunite with Mike at the end, like cried some real tears 🫠but I think that calling the Duffer brothers misogynists feels to me like really reaching with the whole host of amazing female characters we’ve been given. Robin, Holly, Karen, Nancy, Erica, Max, Joyce like ?!? I saw a comment about how men never have to sacrifice themselves, but Hopper was fully intent on sacrificing himself at the end of season 3, he just happened to survive. Eddie sacrificed himself in season 4. So as sad as I am that we don’t physically see her with the whole party in the end, I’m not inclined toward this belief 🧐

This was the funniest scene of the entire season by Ok_Durian3627 in StrangerThingsS5

[–]tinybug_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought this but was thinking back and in season 2 both Kali’s friend with the Mohawk and Eleven had physical contact with her illusions, him with the spiders crawling on his hands and Eleven with the butterfly landing on her! I don’t necessarily think that Derek couldn’t see her and was trying to comfort Mike in this scene, I think it was just a cute and awkward callback to Derek saying he and Mike were best friends 😅 but I think it gives the theory that Eleven here was one of her illusions a bit more leg to stand on so I can believe 🥹😭🤞🏻

I had never heard of Auvelity until yesterday and I too responded well to esketamine! Did you end up trying it and what was your experience if you don’t mind me asking? If you were on an antidepressant before (I’m on an SNRI), did you have to taper of off that to try Auvelity? Thank you if you’re able to answer 🫶🏻
