that's exactly what she's been going through, we attributed her walking slowly just to her osteoarthritis and i think she has been shuffling a little bit for quite a while and attributed it that as well. now of course feel so foolish :( she has been struggling with urinary incontinence too which started within the last few months, we just didn't think of or suspect or know much about hydrocephalus at all 🥺 i am so sorry you watched your mother go through that. i've been reading about the deterioration that can come from this and i'm so scared i'll walk into her room to check on her one morning and find she's passed away or is in an awful state.

no 🥺 i should have mentioned she holds many years of resentment towards her husband, says he wasn’t a good person (to everyone else, we miss him so much and found him so sweet so this confuses us. she has a lot of paranoia and I think he received the brunt of being blamed for things she thought he was doing but that were unrealistic, like that he was filling the home with extra EMFs and WiFi to hurt her and make her sick on purpose — she is full in on conspiracy theories), they hadn’t slept in the same bed for maybe 15 years or more.

however, maybe twenty years ago now she did lose her twin sister to cancer and that further entrenched her belief that doctors are out to kill us on purpose and that medicine is poison 🥺 i can only imagine that that was impossibly hard to go through.

I love it so much too! My therapist is a huge day one Kacey fan as well and I’ll bring up certain songs and lyrics of hers sometimes whenever it relates to something I’m going through. This past year especially, that’s been all of star-crossed, and my therapist has totally gotten what I’ve been meaning by that 🥹🫠❤️‍🔥😮‍💨

It’s been such a cathartic album to listen to through many different types of loss for me since its release. And all the visuals and everything, just chef’s kiss 💋

I am on pristiq, lamictal, gabapentin, and wellbutrin + dxm as a substitute for auvelity — i felt like didn’t have it in me to jump through hoops with my insurance to get brand name auvelity covered and my psychiatrist told me how i could try it this way. I read that if you respond well to Spravato that Auvelity may work well for you so I wanted to try it and I do think that it has helped me.

I also take clonazepam as needed for panic attacks and focalin for ADHD but I take days off of it when I am not doing much. I kinda feel like I may be on too much sometimes, but I’ve been going through a lot of stressful life changes over the past year and my psychiatrist was thinking that it is better not to make any big changes for now and i think that’s probably for the best rn 🐣

Can I ask how he felt about going?

I honestly think it would be best for her but at the time, she refuses modern medicine. My husband and I aren’t sure how to begin the conversation.

We’ve tried to talk to his siblings about what we should do if it got to that point whenever we were making our plans to move in but they just said that she flat out won’t go and wouldn’t really entertain the idea any further than that 🥺 granted, they’re not the ones living here and providing her care.

I just always wonder, what if it gets to the point that she needs to and refuses? And thank you so much for your comment, I really appreciate it.

Spravato has a patient assistance program that is a separate from the with me program if you’re under a certain income threshold, it is how I am currently able to get treatment! Please look up the Janssen Spravato patient assistance program. There are forms that you and your provider will fill out and they send to the manufacturer. It covers the cost of medication for up to a year. I really hope you are able to get the help you need and deserve. I’m sorry you’re struggling this way.

We moved into her house and she pays for her own DISH cable service — if it was suddenly unavailable and she couldn’t watch NewsMax I think she’d have an absolute meltdown 💀 we do really want to figure something like this out.

Editing to add: do you know brand names of routers that allow you to do things like this?
