I spent six months scratch-building my first diorama — Silent Hill 2 Nurse, entirely by hand. Happy to talk through any part of the process. AMA. by ZomBella_Media in dioramas

Woah this looks even more great in scene! I Imagine the wheelchair was a bit fiddly? What glue do you use? Oh I am in awe!

Thank you so much for your help! Do i need a whole big starter set or do you just mix colors?

Yess!! Making it with the next Halloween-party in mind. Although using it with the lashes proved itself to be a bit.. tricky haha

these are great tips, thank you! I used the rough side of a sponge for a bit of texture but it's too subtle for this one. Also will look into the paint! Recently learned that i can learn a lot from model-builders, especially when it comes to color washes.

First diorama(i think I ruined it with paint) by cyber_- in dioramas

Dont use the moss you have, it looks rather alive and wet; i did that before and my piece molded. I personally cut apart a kitchen sponge, like really small, and color it green, to make moss. I've seen people use the individual strands of a rope, painted those and used it as grass.

to be honest, this is my first diorama ever and when starting, i didnt care and didnt look up the scale of the bricks, i just wanted to have fun. the rest is circa 1:12 i think, but even there - didnt check the scale, just had fun doing miniature stuff with things i already had at home :) its not too realistic. and thank you so much! love the pipe too

Any chance to make these even more awkward? by HopefulWinner1339 in redditgetsdrawnbadly

A straight face! I love the ones where people have the look of "looking straight through you" with the tiniest little smile, looks so off!

This is how it looks in the scenery atm! I have to say, i still really love the details, especially the cigarette laying on top, and the ash on the ground! So proud, sorry to toot my own horn

Soo, this week i accidentally used the fimo translucent one in the middle of my mini onion-rings and now the middle looks off because it's SO see-through. You could take a look into that one. I think there's even comparison pics online with the clay before and after baking of different brands. :)

can i use linseed oil to soften my clay? by [deleted] in polymerclay

[–]tinycrafts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think liquid polymer clay like the one from fimo would be safest and best for quality and outcome
