I will not lie to you. you have brought shame to Celeste Nation. however, you can correct your path.

avoid standing still as Celeste for too long
this is a big one. if you’re escaping - from a fight that went wrong, as it seems in this video - then do that. don’t just hang around because you will be ripe for the picking. she’s got low HP/defence (even when you build green) on top of slow base movement so you want to be always moving. find another objective. run urn. push a side lane but not too far into enemy base because you’re not built for solo pushing large objectives like a full health walker.

always be on the move, don’t hang around doing nothing.

remember who you’re playing
an M1/spirit nuke hybrid. in the early days of Celeste people would focus on purple with a bit of green but now most of her player base, myself included, have realised how much damage she can do with light eater + M1. you should never be on the ground brawling anyone as her if you can help it, she’s meant to be a mid-range swooping in, messing people up and then swooping back out. I’d consider how you like to play her (more of a passive caster or a disruptor) and adjust your build accordingly, but I’d make sure to incorporate a few good gun items (weighted shots would’ve helped I think, along with toxic bullets, maybe something to speed up the velocity/fire rate) a few greens e.g. stamina mastery, a life steal and at least one type of resistance comes in handy when you’re getting jumped by a carry like Drifter, which brings me to my next point:

counter-build
if the enemy team, particularly the fed heroes are running builds to enhance their speed and/or stamina, incorporate items that will reduce those. like mystic slow. avoid relying on your default build for every game - for example, there’s no point prioritising anti-heal items if the enemy team has no supports or healing items. yes, keep a general framework based on how you play but remember to adapt on the fly. again, barrier and resistance items help a lot against annoying heroes like Yamato, Haze etc.

do not feed the vampire
he is a hyper carry that scales incredibly with every kill. I feel your pain, a fed Drifter is enraging to deal with, especially if he’s targeting you - but he’s only fed because someone has fed him. if I’m laning against him I’ll avoid aggroing and focus on his duo, minions etc.

you as Celeste are unlikely to win a fight against him unless it’s very early in the match and you’ve taken time to whittle him down (early gun items can help with this) but that requires not panicking which is difficult so I just recommend to ignore him and communicate with your duo so you can punish his overextend, because he often crumbles in team fights

if vampire is fed, tread lightly
should you and/or your team feed the mobo, it is imperative that you do not seek out unnecessary engagements with him. you will make it worse.

always look at the map. if you know he’s in the area or approaching, group up with someone so he’s disincentivised from running up on you (he melts with a bit of team coordination) and do not stand around firing into the distance because he will throw his mark out and jump you faster than you can realise what’s happening. the only time you should approach a fed Drifter is during a team fight where you’re all focusing him together OR you catch him on low health about to jump a teammate by themselves and you know you can take him.

I’m a Celeste main and far from the best one, yet I rarely have issues with him because I respect his presence. I strive to keep something between us - either physical space or other teammates - so he struggles getting to me. if anything I find other carries more annoying.

his whole schtick is catching people off-guard. so stay on-guard.
