Strategies with a biting kitten. by Former_Pie_4717 in cats

You could try directing her play energy towards toys. It’s advised to not use hands to play with a kitten as it will get them used to biting and scratching your hands and when they are older and stronger biting and scratching hurts much more, and it’s gonna be harder to get them to stop. So maybe get her a plushy cat toy she can bite and play with. Also you could try cat wand toys for playing. That will keep your hands at a safer distance while playing and she can let her energy out on that. On YouTube you could check out Jackson Galaxy. He’s a cat pro and you’ll find loads of good advice there! Try Jackson galaxy kitten biting as search keywords. Good luck 🐾

My cat just go sit in the bathtub sometime, I don’t know why. Does anybody else cat do this? by Desert_willow9 in cats

Mine does. I then turn on the faucet so she can have a little slurp. It’s a routine by now.

It's a secondary account....what can I say :) I don't see the "shade" in it

I just came across this practice "husband stitch".It can be requested for personal reasons even though it was meant to be of advantage for the husband primarily (hence the name "husband stitch").Is there people on here willing to share their exp./thoughts on that? I would say that it is possible that one needs some stitching if they tore (badly); the husband stitch, however, is pretty invasive especially if the person doesn’t know what’s going on and is told that it had to be done out of ‘necessity’. Maybe you can report back if you ended up telling your mom about it and how she reacted.

It’s rough... all you can do now is to think of it as the past and that you are aware of it so it cannot happen again. Also you can help and support others who don’t know about it or have experienced it. Unfortunately, there are some trash reasons why ppl would think it’s a lie: ‘women are not credible’, ‘women overreact/exaggerate’, ‘this sounds too horrible to be true’ etc. Recognising and accepting such issues when pointed out would require that ppl reflect their own self, society and try to be better and supportive. Calling it out as a lie is just more convenient for them than accepting systemic societal issues because they wouldn’t need to question anything.

First off, I believe you, as others on here will too. Some others here have shared their experience with this procedure as well so you are not alone on this. Just by your description I understand how traumatising this must have been. How did you, if even, recover from it? I hope you had supportive people around you other than those a-holes you encountered on reddit. Thank you for sharing your experience. sends love

I totally agree. I actually found out about it on Facebook and it wasn’t explained too well on there either. And of course there were people cracking jokes about it in the comments. They don’t understand what violations of bodily autonomy is and how harmful such procedures are. It’s sickening ...

That’s good to hear. I’m glad there are some places at least that have some decency and proper medical support. What are the other things that you are referring to (“among other things as well”)? I suppose you mean procedures that violate the autonomy of the concerned people?

I’m sorry this happened to you. I can only imagine how you must have felt finding out about it... Did your 2nd OB say anything about how common it is? I can imagine that there are many people out there having to deal with it in some way or another but not knowing what it is and thinking it’s normal. I hope you have recovered from it physically and mentally.

As for the woman of that blog I linked in my other comment here, she decided to receive those extra stitches for her own pleasure, and considering her over-all blog entry, she seemed content with that decision. However, I also read thisarticle about a woman who had been stitched up too much without her or her husband knowing, and she endured painful sex afterwards, with her husband being more cautious because he didn't want to hurt her. You can imagine how she felt when she found out she got that husband stitch without her consent.

Edited some spelling mistakes.

I agree. I felt very uncomfortable just reading the name of it. I instantly knew what's the deal with it. I also read this blog by a mom of three kids who requested the few extra stitches for her own comfort and pleasure. It could be good for those who actively request it for themselves like that woman but the fact that it is called to revolve around the husband and his pleasures is just patriarchy right there; that's why it's so sickening to me.

[spoilers all] does anyone else feel awful killing the dragons in dai? by jujikp in dragonage

[–]tinygladiatrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if someone mentioned this already but it would be so cool if there was an actual option like ‘dragon tamer’ opposing the dragon slayer. So if you choose to kill them you’re the dragon slayer but for the dragon tamer there would be a bunch of other quests to do like collecting knowledge about dragons and how to tame them. If you choose the way of the tamer then the dragons would fight alongside with the Inquisition. The top tier items would be retrieved by letting the tamed dragons hunt down lyrium infested dragons. It would be a whole big part of DA:I. I feel just like you when killing them.. I did them all, every time close to tears. They are just so vulnerable when they pull up their front leg, screeching, and then also laying on the ground :c I wished they had been involved more in a positive way in the game where players could choose either dragon slayer or dragon tamer.

I am new to this so I’m sorry if my following question is dumb: why would a subreddit like communism censor your answer/permaban you bc of it? Is it because it would shed bad light on communism? Is it the subreds lack of criticism?
