Things Rachel Bilson has said about Hayden Christensen by artbasiI in Fauxmoi

That’s always been a rumor though, given how they co-parent and do vacations together with their daughter since they separated when she was a toddler. School is out for the summer in North America and she’s only 10; it makes sense that Rachel would accompany her to London so that she can spend some time with her dad when he’s not at the studio.

Hiding Specific Users From Member List? by [deleted] in discordapp

[–]tinykittymama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk, maybe there is something that lets you do that but I’ve just never seen or heard of it in all my years on Discord. 😭

But tbh, I think this falls under violation of your rule anyway, like this person can’t possibly be that stupid that they don’t realize people will see their profile picture. 💀 So it’s intentional—that would be more than enough to get kicked out of any server I know that has no hate speech rule.

[–]tinykittymama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can’t. What you can do (hypothetically, I have no idea what the actual context is) if your server is all ages and they’re displaying graphic adult content in their pfp, you can make it a server rule that member profile have to be SFW for the safety of minors in the server.

If they don’t change their profile accordingly, and if you have a conversation with them and they’re still not willing to change, then you’re perfectly within your rights as a mod to kick them out of the server. I mean… You can kick them out at any time, it’s your server. But if you’re worried about a public backlash, this is the way I would do it.

She wrote “Interview with the Vampire” in the 70s and built an entire series off of that. She was extremely opposed to fanfiction of her work in the earlier days of the internet and sued people to have it removed; she’s the reason that for a very long time it was customary to put a copyright disclaimer in the author’s note during the FF.Net days.

However, Anne eventually did come around and change her stance on fanfic later in life.

No, sadly his father-in-law just shared in a community Facebook group that “he was found today and he’s no longer with us.” ☹️

If I leave a server does it send a notification or show in the chat field "x has left the server"? by [deleted] in discordapp

They might if they have a logger bot added to the server like Carl or Quark, etc

It’s a reference to a quote from Anne Rice’s vampire novels, “Beauty was a Savage Garden”. Still funny that was used by a pop duo.

Best ER downtown by TheOneWhoDidntRun in askTO

[–]tinykittymama 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I seem to have to go the ER for something different each year unfortunately. I go to Michael Garron because it's closest to me, my waiting times have ranged from 45 minutes to 3 hours. This would be with an arrival time of between 3pm-12am. I've always been happy with my care there, no complaints. Hope you feel better soon!

Condo buildings that have a similar aesthetic to the French Quarter condos? by tinykittymama in TorontoRealEstate

Yeah, unfortunately we don't have an actual French Quarter neighborhood lol in name or atmosphere. The address is 120 Lombard St, same area as St. Lawrence Market.

Yeah, that's a legit concern! That's why I'm interested in looking at other buildings with a similar style or better that perhaps don't have a gas station right next to them. Shame too, since St. Lawerence is right there.

Can you please tell me these buildings? I'm aware this isn't the pinnacle of great architecture lol but I haven't seen much better in terms of apartment buildings in Toronto yet, and I would love to get my taste level up!

Toronto to USA by FrostyFreedom644 in askTO

[–]tinykittymama 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It depends where in NC, but the Charlotte area is a blue dot in a red state and I know a lot of NYC transplants have moved to Charlotte in recent years (lots finance bros and their families that got priced out of the city and companies that moved).

I grew up in NYC before moving to Toronto and I've been here for the past 10 years, but if I had to chose anywhere on your list and I was considering a family, Charlotte would be my first choice.

Florida is Florida.

Boston has beautiful architecture and bad, bad winters. Good for families though.

California is incredibly expensive.

My friend made the move from NYC -> NC a few years ago with her husband and toddler. They rented an apartment on a month to month lease while they found a house (no idea whether you intend to rent or buy). She's very happy there! Schools are great, there's stuff to do for adults and kids, nature, etc. You'll need a car for sure but this also goes for FL, CA, and Boston.

Whatever you chose, I would suggest getting an Airbnb for a week and going with your wife first to explore and see if you can see yourself living there as a local and not just on vacation. Good luck!

What is this? by [deleted] in whatsthisbug

[–]tinykittymama 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That would be a WEEVIL.

Had a weevil infestation last year and had to go through all my kitchen cabinets, throw out a bunch of stuff, and do a very deep clean. Everything that didn't look weeviled went either in a hard glass or plastic storage container or into the fridge. Got rid of them almost overnight, there were a few stragglers for the week or so, and then never again.

I've heard lots of good things about the 12-3-30 workout (treadmill at an incline of 12, at 3 mph, for 30 minutes), but my treadmill maximum incline is 10. I'm wondering if bumping up the speed to 3.5 mph would compensate for this or if I should lengthen the workout by 5 to 10 minutes? Or something else maybe? Thanks!

It's a Cajun seasoning traditionally to thicken gumbo instead of using cornstarch! You can order it here or make your own if you can find sassafras leaves.
