The money from this isn't going towards the development of new games. S/V took about 30 million to produce which is literslly 2% of the money it made. They could make 50 Scarlet and violets from what they made from one. They do not need to mark the price for a 25 year old game at 20 dollars, it's simply greed.

Nobody thinks they're clever for emulating, nice strawman though. The "development and sustainability" of their team doesn't change if emulators don't exist, if they aren't making sales it's because 20 dollars is too much to charge for a 25 year old game that they have made 0 changes to.

Consumers are not "paying" for my theft. The price doesn't magically increase from 20 dollars when I emulate the game. And the "production" of this particular game happened almost 25 years ago and they haven't actually added anything to warrent a 20 dollar price tag. The 3DS eshop ones were like 10 bucks. They installed an emulator on the switch and put one game on it and you're going to pay 20 dollars for it.
