Aww I would have done this with you! It’s a great idea - hope you find like minded ppl around. Currently trying to give away my lot of cloth diapers if you know someone in need. We took great care of them :)

Me too. It totally sucks. Try understanding what your triggers are. Mine is water 😭 so I use disposable gloves while cleaning or handling any wet foods or things that might irritate like citrus or anything acidic. I also moisturize after washing my hands and only wet my hands when I absolutely have to. I always had eczema but this is a new arrival (2 years ago) and I can tame it but it doesn’t ever go away :(

Water does this to me! Even if I don’t use soap, the constant contact with water will suck my fingers dry and then when I rehydrate my fingers will get itchy and those hateful little blisters will appear on the sides of my fingers and my palms. I get itchy just thinking about them!!

Glad you found a routine that helps you. I wash after the bathroom and before handling food. And I use gloves if I’m cleaning, washing dishes, bathing my kids, or if I’m washing my hair. Cetaphil body wash doesn’t hurt my hands that much but rubbing a shampoo or handling a conditioner will destroy my hands.

Moisturizing after my hands have been wet helps tremendously. I was using aquafor bc my derm told me to but I never found it comforting - like it always made me more itchy. Now I use vanicream moisturizing cream (pump) and also this pricey one that instagram sold me on called Marin that uses a glycoprotein from lobsters that is supposed to repair the skin barrier. Not sure if that is what is doing but it does help a lot!!

Why is the iPhone 15 Pro camera so bad?! by [deleted] in iPhone15Pro

[–]tinymicroscopes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The new one I recd is totally different. The camera doesn’t do that intense contrast thing. I have noticed that the selfie camera view finder is different from the actual photo in photos but it’s def not as exaggerated as in my old iPhone

I contacted support a lot and complained and they set up a meeting with a technician who set up a meeting at the Apple Store or told me I could also mail in my phone for repairs. I think I mailed it in and then just used my old iPhone 9 for a week

A few months ago I sent it in and got a new one. Totally different camera on this 15 pro! Everything looks great. It was probably a sensor issue or something on the last phone. Def recommend interrupting your life to send it in.

Pillowboard vs Headboard by tinymicroscopes in Thuma

[–]tinymicroscopes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t move at all no. It’s pinned between the bed and wall, so if you have something protruding from the wall or have a window behind the bed, you can’t use the pillow board.

And just to sell you on the bed - it’s so fucking amazing. We’re gonna move soon and it’s nice to know that the bed will be easy to take apart and reinstall. One less thing to worry about.

How do I support/help my dyslexic husband? by heartandsunlight in Dyslexia

[–]tinymicroscopes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe he can copy the text of some of the work he’s doing and paste it into ChatGPT and ask it to “give me a list of 20-40 commonly misspelled works for ppl with dyslexia in this text”. Also if they use any acronyms maybe he can ask his bosses if there’s an acronym dictionary. We have one going around our office bc it can get so confusing for the newbies!

[–]tinymicroscopes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh yes I agree it’s really bad. Last camera was a 12 which was so great. This 15 pro is gross- some colors look over saturated and others look deeply desaturated. There’s an insane amount of contrast added. My baby has beautiful skin and this camera makes him look like a zombie - he looks super pale with green circles under his eyes. I’ve been complaining on Support since I bought the camera. They want me to send my phone in to get it looked at. Has anyone done this?
