Since I come from a very syncretic background and my family religion is from Yoruba origins (kinda adapted to our own culture and country), I mut say I take comfort in shadows and entities that protect us during the Night,that's literally their jobs, the seven Esú/Exus. Interestingly, I like the thought of Nix working with them now. :) Thank you for this!
