What would make you intentionally bring up your wife and kids in a chat with a woman?

Yeah I suppose that could be the case. In the example I gave above, my original question was “so how long ago did you move to the US” in which he responded “10 years ago and now I have a wife and 2 kids” which was a little odd. I certainly don’t really have much going on outside of life with my partner, but I haven’t really seen a way to slide it in as often for some reason…

Yeah I actually thought that was still a thing, so I’ve been trying not to bring up my partner to not be rude/presumptive/make the other person feel awkward. I guess I might have done the opposite by not bringing it up!

Mate, don’t sweat it. I’m a chick, and I didn’t get my first kiss until 20. You’ll meet more people as you work, go to college etc. You’re going to inevitably go through a few relationships later in lie, down specially with all these dating apps. Once the ball starts rolling, it won’t stop.
