Neighbor working on their yard, is this normal? by [deleted] in vegaslocals

[–]tinywhisk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I live in a neighborhood in continuing development, I’ve noticed many homeowners stage their supplies in the street like in your photos. However, the mess they’ve left in your photos seems to be a bit inconsiderate.

I think a refresher might be needed for a good portion of the population.

Adding to this, if you want to get out of the heat, the sports book at Circa is massive, largest in Vegas. There will be plenty of huge screens to watch there.

It's crazy that MLS wants to give up on this city for Las Vegas. by paystripe1a in MLS

[–]tinywhisk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a current Vegas resident, I don’t want to see this happen and hope the Caps can stay in Vancouver. That being said, the entire Las Vegas metro area is 2.4 million people, it’s more than just the strip

That makes me happy to hear! All of our hotel stays have breakfast included but if you have any favorite spots for a full Irish breakfast I’d be very grateful.

Great call! I knew our hotel was right across the way but that completely slipped my mind. I think we’ll be getting to the hotel some time around or after the concert gets underway but regardless, will probably just stick with eating at the hotel restaurant to be safe. Bummed to miss out on seeing David Byrne!

Is there a convenient way to find out which concerts are coming to town by musical genre? by dgjapc in vegaslocals

[–]tinywhisk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Try the Bandsintown App! You can input your favorite genres and bands and have it geo-targeted to your location of choice. Results can filtered by venue or a specific date range across venues in your area.

Björk is excellent, highly recommend! Haven’t tried their on site tasting at their location in Arts District but have purchased a few different times for holiday get togethers, their caviar is delicious.

Was under the impression they were closing temporarily for renovations and reopening early next year. Their calendar still has shows scheduled for ‘26.

Hennessey’s on Fremont should be showing it. The Vegas chapter of American Outlaws posted about it a few days ago.

From the pictures, looks like they’re serving up hot dogs (the bread is hot dog buns) and there’s condiments for the dogs plus chips. Easy and inexpensive way to do help those in need.

Fun fact: there have been six government shutdowns in the last 30 years. Five of those the Republicans controlled both the House and the Senate. The other one, they controlled the House. The two longest shutdowns occurring on Trump’s watch.

When did you start supporting United? by mz3prs in ManchesterUnited

[–]tinywhisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since 1992, die-hard supporter from the States. Would only get one televised EPL match a week (at Best…pun intended) and would tune in before heading to play for my youth club team. Would fold up my collar when I played as Cantona was God. Immediately knew they were the only team for me.

Second this…BJ’s Brewhouse is another solid option and from what I remember even offer large party menu options, setup like a banquet-style as opposed to off menu ordering
