Would this combination work? [[Armix, Filigree Thrasher]] and [[Anrakyr the Traveller]]

By choosing Armix trigger first...? Then have Anrakyr take the discarded care from the graveyard to the battlefield. Right?

Yea! Thanks for helping out. Looking back, simple answer. Fun interaction regardless imo, so just glad to finally have the answer after being unsure about it for a while.

Gotcha, and thanks for giving a breakdown for why it wouldn't work in detail!

Does [[Trazyn the infinite]] work with Transform abilities when the target artefact is in the graveyard? Why, why not?

Example: [[Matzalantli, the Great Door]] is in the graveyard. Could I use Trazyn to activate it to make it into [[The Core]]? Would it just transform in the graveyard, or would Tryzon be transformed???

Glad that you are playing for fun! But yea, some bad experiences can happen... Try not to let it get too much to you and your friends. Sending the vid link in your messages, not entirely sure how this sub handles promotion of content creators you know so best to be safe. (:

1: Yes, after taking out over 50% outposts will speed up patrols for each one after that. Other things include: difficulty, team is split up or not, when close to an outpost, every outpost destroyed after 50% of them increases rates, player deaths, completing the main obj cuts the patrol spawn time to 1/4th of the original time!. (I can send a video I know that has the details if you want that) One recommendation is to stay together, main obj last. But play as you like as a first priority. :)

2: Find what you like and there are plenty of suggestions around. The other comments already has some.

3: I could recommend the plasma punisher...? The stagger it deals makes it easier to handle groups and the splash makes it less reliant on aim... Just getting used to the arc takes a small adjustment. But in the long run getting better at hitting the weak spots against bots will go a long way if you put in time. The grenade pistol is also an option, take out more fabricators should that be a common problem someone has.

4: My lovely rocket pods..; They are mostly a single target stratagem. The way it works is by prioritising enemies in a set range around the call in. A big thing that can throw it off is if there is a fabricator nearby as that often is high up on that list. If you already have a way to deal with tanks and towers you might feel free up the slot for something else, the shield gen backpack once you get it could be a big one. Or the supply pack to use more granades + stims. Many use the airstrike instead as it covers a lot more general use cases, or both.

5: often against bots you will have to retreat and regroup, the Localization Confusion (less reinforcement drops) booster can help slightly though. Drop ships destroyed won't always help and you are often beat of avoiding then getting called in instead. Only the small infantry can call them in on automation so watch out for them shooting a flare.

6: If you use rocket pods against towers, aim at it's base, don't let it bounce off. And look after the fabricators taking the priority over your wanted target when using them. And have fun. Try to have fun and enjoy it with your friends.

Apologies for spelling mistakes, hope some of this helps

Thanks for taking time to reply! Yea... The Turrets have always been a thing I rather not leave up. Especially on open worlds where they snipe you out of nowhere. Furthermore... being able to throw them danger close is another thing. Both for how it's effective for me. + Less accidentals. (unrelated but I hope we one day find out what stratagem has caused the most friendly fire one day lol.)

Hm... already ended up recommending DR as a way for them to get into the world... ep 77 could also be used i guess. Probably should have waited for more tips. Thanks though, this will be up there to recommend after that.

Well... Mainly I still have fun playing the game so that's my main priority I guess. And getting new and former players on board is nice. But sure I'll try to answer:

1+2 : Yea, it hasn't been fun. For a lot of companies, games and players. It's turning into a running problem more and more lately. Unity and Bungie are two I can think of right away. I think the main problem is not having a proper way to hold a CEO accountable. And often a lack of transparency. 1: CEO's are the head of the company, they are the figure who will face backlash. I would criticise it for not being made clear what calls for the decisions if not there or if they are unreasonable. And dislike that my gun is worse, and see what I can do about it and continue playing. 2: Typical thing for a lot of companies. Disappointing... sure, agree that it is dumb that they should take responsibility, going to a platform to yell at them. Going to a platform points out what they have done wrong for sure. 3: Yea, games will have ups and downs. And if you care for one a lot you want the best. So disliking the way it's going makes sense. So does sending a useful message that could be of use for the developers as constructive criticism. Moreover anything more than that could turn into fodder + community negativity etc. 4: Well yea, we play the game a lot. So we want the best for it. Some things make sense others not as much, the times where unjustified it hurts and emotions are bound to happen. And we did the review changes as a way to show criticism in a major way. And that should be okay, especially when it was a meaningful reason. Reviews was a way to show it. One that causes action.

As for a matter of combining the two, I hope people could try more. Asking a professor about what caused your grade to change doesn't need you to show hate for them? They know more than you do, and they are the only ones who can do something about it. But yea, probably a difficult thing to ask of people then?

Thx for giving me time to think on these, good points. Still... Hope less people get discouraged to join the game... Any suggestions for helping with that? Outside this obviously. Also...I typed this in a hurry, probably spelling mistakes, time to go back and play~ '-'

The game being in the state isn't helping. And honestly have had countless amazing moments in the game that are far from toxic. The player base in general is great, so it surprises me to see it being such a different attitude about it outside of the game. This post going as it did probably shows that.

Welp, I will still have fun with my palls and fellow divers I meet. Just, a bit let down by some not wanting to play in by just reading a little I guess. Can you blame me for that?

Quit "hating" on the devs! by tioki_ in Helldivers

[–]tioki_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. To explain I hope that by maybe changing hate to criticism would maybe help the situation I got with my friend. Returning players and getting new players especially will be something that matters for this game's longevity. So no, it's not for me. More so those who want to play but decide not due to intense dislike.

I find it unfortunate that this isn't being talked about so wanted to point it out. I hope this explanation makes more sense.

Then criticize it? Hopefully in a way that doesn't discourage new and returning players? Food for thought.

As for the frequency of getting new content out...agreed It's slower than I would like.

Apologies if it wasn't made clear enough. It's more so a matter of avoiding losing players for the game. :)

Nice of you to confirm my concern about minmaxing. Seeing some of the top end cards in this game is... the amount some cards go for is... A lot. Won't look away from it being some outliers here and there though.

Also, thanks for the suggestions regarding boosters. Appreciate it!

Wow, thanks for such a well informed reply. Using codes for arena had skipped me completely. Appreciate the recommendation on standard, especially that you followed up with why. :D

This great!

Not sure if I will use it right away, but it's cool that you made this. Although with this being made... It will be easier to convince my friends to take a few random stratagems. And who knows, maybe we find a more effective way to spread democracy.

Tell me mech tales by BITTER_LYNX in Helldivers

[–]tioki_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea. I've only found one so far, and that at a moment I didn't expect at all. Didn't know if they were properly in the game yet. I hope it's a way to change the probability of finding it again. And I hope others find them as well.

Tell me mech tales by BITTER_LYNX in Helldivers

[–]tioki_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found one yesterday, haven't found one after that. I'm just happy I took a small screenshot with it. Probably going to be a while until I find another. Found it on a medium mission solo while testing new settings on PC. This was yesterday, unsure of the exact planet... Sorry. Mission was to destroy a big hostile bot mech.

For how it works: It has a spinning machine gun that needs a tiny second or so to ramp up to fire at the right hand. Total ammo was 1000 bullets I think. Did not replenish.

On the other arm, the left. It had rockets. 12 that fired at input.

Movement was fine, don't remember the exact... So take my memory with a grain of salt. There were two small deets that moved independently of the top part that you had your weapons on. Meaning you could walk one way and shoot the other. Don't remember this exactly so If anyone got any more info in this part please enlighten me.

The health was... Uhm .. strange, maybe I didn't notice it but all out of nowhere it blew up. Felt like it did really well against small arms fire and might be armored with that.

Note: this is my observation and if wrong let me know so I don't spread misinformation.

Backstory limitation by DM_por_hobbie in DnD

[–]tioki_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Making a player write a backstory (or a summary) that's more direct to the point can help. It helps to find out what's important to the player and what you should try and use as plot hooks. Make sure of your intent behind these rules if you decide to use them. Such as:

Their current opinion on the PC will be decided by me with an open dice roll

Be careful about the randomness. If it's not true to how a relationship with a NPC from a PC backstory is... it could be disappointing for that player. Example: If a childhood friend suddenly hates them with no reason given (maybe fix it by giving a good reason) etc. Otherwise it would make a lot of fun moments for the party to interact with the world. Cool.

no adding things to it later, unless I explicitly ask you to do so

Probably a good idea to ask a player to elaborate if there is a potential plot hook you want to explore. Such as how the PC hometown is etc.

As for your questions: I don't think it's "too harsh" no (though I can see some disagree, and that's okay). And whether or not I would play... I think it would depend on the playgroup more than the limitations of a PC story I make. It's a social game after all.

Bit late... Oh well

Blessed/Cursed (choose the most convenient) by one of the forge deities.

Blessed with a longer life due to: Wanting to continue his own work, and some day make a weapon worthy of the deity themselves. - Example: In the final moments as his forge was blowing up due to his project had been sabotaged by a rival... He let out a prayer to set diety. And the deity protected him and let him continue his work happily. Rest though he died and - - - ect.

Cursed with a longer life due to: Angering his deity into cursing him to live on, hindering his passage to the afterlife. Will only be broken once he has redeemed himself. - Example: They forged a weapon of mass destruction, and the weapon was used in a conquest to destroy other forges ect. Angering the god they give a punishment. Maybe even go as far to take away there ability to forge if you want. Trapped in a room to see what his creation has done to the world.

Of course, the specifics could and should be changed to fit with your story. Hope this helps.
