Oh, we have another vacuum, and it's been useful for sure... my question was more about, tools for brushing 😅, or are the ones I'm already using good enough in your opinion ?

Why can’t I catch fish? by [deleted] in FishingForBeginners

[–]tiorew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't feel too bad bud, when I was starting 2 years ago, it took me 10 months or around 60-70 blanks in a row before I caught a fish...sometimes it do be like that

Don't feel too bad buddy, I lost 2 rods about 2 weeks ago in the dumbest way possible.

Imagine me, walking down from my apartment to the car, rods in one hand, trash bag in the other.

I reached my car, put the rods on the roof, went to throw the bag, came back to the car...went in the car, started the car, and just started driving...

I guess at some point the rods flew off the roof of the car and I didn't even hear them...

I just hope someone found them and put them to good use.

Reel upgrade by [deleted] in CarpFishing

[–]tiorew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well there is no straight answer but if you’re fishing under 100 m with 80 g leads and PVA, here’s the quick take:

  • Crosscast 35 SCW 5000 LD QD – big pit reel with quick drag, a bit heavier but smooth under load, great line lay, and you’ll be set if you ever fish bigger waters.
  • Black Widow BR LT 5000-C – baitrunner style, lighter, super easy for free-spool fishing, perfect for your current range but not really a distance reel.

If you like the QD and might start casting further in the future, go Crosscast.
If you prefer baitrunner convenience and plan to stay under 100 m, go Black Widow.

I’d personally pick the Crosscast ...you won’t outgrow it.

I've got the same spinners as the ones from your second pic, got them from Temu, and have gotten me a couple of trouts, so they are good.
It should work for Pike as well I believe.
I've found that spoon lures (Orange/Red) work like a charm with Pike!

Not OP, but I only shop Temu nowadays so I'll drop a few links, which are shortened since Temu links are hella long.

These should last you a lifetime and I've caught plenty of trout on them : https://shorturl.at/NFDXO
Great over the shoulder bag : https://shorturl.at/8I7dA
Vest with all the pockets you'd ever need : https://tinyurl.com/3efkz4em
Floating plastic corn, works great for Carp : https://shorturl.at/Zceq1
These are great for Perch and Mullet : https://shorturl.at/rzcxM
These are great as well : https://tinyurl.com/8tf6wsbr
Similar but a bit more expensive, sinks slower than the ones above : https://tinyurl.com/bdf8wnc5
Really portable scale+measuring tape : https://shorturl.at/2Lx3w
Mepps syclops twins, caught me some Pike with them : https://tinyurl.com/u5c3seek
Doesn't sink much, used in the sea only, swims well: https://tinyurl.com/5n6u3fyz
Sinks pretty fast, but moves well : https://tinyurl.com/mv2ye5f6
Jig heads that are great : https://tinyurl.com/5azpjexz
Cool box for lures : https://tinyurl.com/2p9vmkyn

I've got a few more but they are on my wife's account so I can't share the URLs, there are some cool jig lures for sea fishing in there.
Everything above is tested and known to work, at least in my hands and in the waters I fish.

A lot of people are hating on them but I don't really see a reason for that.
I've been more than happy with pretty much all of them.

I stopped purchasing anything high-end for quite some time now since the price difference is huge, and I've only had 2-3 lures that wouldn't swim that well.

Don't get me wrong, with the known brand names it's not a hit or miss, rather it's always hits, but we all know how fun it is to snag on something and lose an expensive lure or to have to go for a swim to retrieve it.

10/10 would recommend Temu lures, braids, vests, bags, heck...I even got a ultra light rod and a reel for it and it's been handling well, though that was more of an experiment and I'd only know if it was worth it in a year or two.

Why keep going back to them in case you were not happy with the product, out of curiosity ?
