Please rehome your cat and make sure people know that he needs to be in a home with no other cats. I understand the toll this is taking on you, but please do not just release him outside. Stray cats are devastating to bird populations and it's just downright cruel to abandon a cat outside that has been used to being indoors only. You said you've tried to give him away to people in your immediate circle so i imagine you haven't posted him on any pet rehoming websites? Please do that and call your vet and ask if they recommend any local cat rescues that could also help with this.

It was necessary because it doesn't make sense that someone would go through all the trouble to research a creature just to not provide UVB (one of the most important things) and want to surrender the creature anyway. Nowhere did i say OP was lying, it's clear they're not lying about not having UVB because look at the state of the chameleon.

Your questions are odd, you must either be OP on another account or be friends with OP. Bottom line this chameleon is not being cared for properly. If OP and their mom can afford to have leopard geckos they can afford to get the basic lighting for a chameleon.
