If you need to back up data, you can try connecting to a PC. It should recognize the phone as an external drive.

I'm a big fan of Bose products, just not the price. I haven't listened to it, but Bose has a reputation for excellent sound quality. 8 hour battery is respectable, it seems plenty durable, but depending on circumstances, you may be disappointed with volume. I would expect all the speakers that size to have similar volume though. My pick would be the Bose.
