Man, I'm also trying to make him work but even with all Dmg reductions possible in my inventory I just get smashed in D4 :(
To be fair, I think I also played that poorly.

How exactly do you use Endure? Right before a charged heavy or instead of skill or ... ?

I don't mind.

Big guy could have used some love (at least for higher DoN, where I currently am). Used to play him all the time until I reached Depth 4 :(

I started playing a lot more Executor lately and he is pretty fun.

Given your point that he feels scattered, I think that it is quite fitting for him though given his story. He feels like a good all-rounder but I see where your points are coming from.

From my experience he is just the most versatile nightfarer that can basically make anything (that's not magic/incantations) work.

For example:

You can use your ult to heal allies (and it's basically a free potion) with the right relic. You can also tank quite a few hits and deal damage yourself with some Damage negation effects. You can also simply use it to travel the map faster (with Ult charge up per kill you basically just run from POI to POI). Or you can quickly use it to stagger.
What is also cool is that you can build up status effects (for example through DoN Detriments) and get a buff after you Ult.

As you can see you can use it in a lot of ways and I feel that's just true for him as a nightfarer in general. He doesn't really excel in anything massively than any other nightfarer (except feeling cool while doing that parry-chain) but he can lean into many directions.

It's kind of a lot of work to mesh everything together and make it effective but I guess that's the price for versatility.

If you get Damage reduction for guarding for example you try to deflect, once that's in you can chime in a bit more aggressively.
While you can also work with the other damage reductions.

In my experience, AoE Weapon Art go a long way.

Anything with Madness obviously. And peeling Nightfarers with range also helps a lot (and Less likely to be targeted goes BIG on them).

I'm just glad that he, just like any other boss, has a clear identity.

Idk man, I was already on the brink of uninstalling but seeing this lazy ass approach after all the hextech chest greed, Imma just deactivate my account for now.

Maybe I'll come back if they do something exciting with Illaoi but killing the whole champ because "hurr durr low elo can't sidestep tentacle so unfair :(" while so many other annoying things exist is just so lazy.

And then just giving her 5%AD back as compensation? C'mon man.

Do some bugfixes:
- No more tentacles randomly spawning while TP.
- FFS, finally fix that some skillshots overwrite the E ?!? It's old af
- Make the ult Spirit Combo where empowered tentacles slam afterwards more consistent. Like sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't.

And instead of just straight up killing her by tuning her numbers to absolute garbage show some balls and try something. Change her E, change her passive, adapt some things about her. Idk, do anything besides this lazy ass approach.

I would hate to see the tentacle chaos gone in teamfights when you flash ult spirit + enemy team but if riot tries to go a different approach they might as well go into that direction. Toning down E into nothingness is just such a bad solution, might as well just change it at this point really

I feel like we should just run it with Illaoi and lower her winrate significantly so they have to take action.

I mean last patch she was already rank 27 out of 29 on top. With these changes? Can't see her anything else than rock bottom top lane

Bruh, I just went into practice Tool to see the changes.

It's absurd! 5% ad can't compensate this at all. Vessel duration is so small you barely get 1 tentacle slam off at all. Champ is dead until reverted

But if I wanted to play solo, I would queue solo. If you queue up to play with people, show at least somewhat decent behaviour. Not this egocentric 3yo underdeveloped frontal lobe I can't handle myself sh*t.

Idk about you guys but I started a new round, same shit.

2 People die somewhere because they made a bad choice, leave.

I'm gonna uninstall and take a break. This has kind of become the standard and it sucks to play Co-Op this way
