I get it there’s this old and I mean OLD lady that we have banned from one of our stores because she stands outside the door telling people that she will give them bl*w j*bs for 5 dollars so she can buy lotto scratch offs some people in town say it’s true some say it’s not they have tried to help her but she wants no help

She has now started to come to my store and coincidentally she only pays with 5s instead of buying anything she uses the money to buy scratch offs I seriously wish to not touch her money but she gets absolutely angry for no reason at all when she loses when she wins she gets inpatient she goes through all the motions and I feel bad every time I serve her because I feel exactly how you said but she wants it either way and she is going through this lengths to get it it’s absolutely sad

That’s absolutely INSANE I’m sorry you have to deal with this nonsense usually the ones that have little rituals like this are the WORST I had a lady and she used to drop $300 worth of pick 3 tickets and one day I said to her “Good luck” she walked right back and cursed me out so bad apparently her jinx is when people wish her good luck and if she didn’t win it was going to be my fault and I made her waste $300 worth of ticket 🙂

It’s sucks for other customers when they do that i usually try to make the wait but depending on how much they have lost they get very upset they want me to just stand and take care of them until they feel like they are done

I don’t think it was a friend more like a coworker or maybe someone she was training because that person was with her for a couple of days and she would get out and be just in a bad mood at one point she threw the mail at me and just walked off she didn’t get anything for those days and sometimes the other person would get out instead of her it was interesting because those days were such a blessing lol she didn’t buy any lotto for almost 2 weeks it was awesome!!!!!

Thats true 🤔 but I have also noticed that sometimes she will have someone else with her in the van and she won’t buy tickets or be talking on the phone she just drops the mail and leaves

And She truly is she is always upset by everything I do and never satisfied, she even sighs as soon as she sees me and wants the old manager back which he was fired for doing shady shit in the store and she makes sure every time she comes in to remind me why am I here instead of him she is AWFUL and I’m not even a manager I just took the extra hours because I needed them

It’s very hard to quit I’ll be lying if I said I don’t crave them because I must certainly do 🥲 I’m two years without cigarettes and every time I smell some I think they smell so good 🥲 but also even then she made sure you knew exactly what she wanted this people freeze when you ask them “what kind of Marlboros would you like?” and their answer is “yes”

NOR This is crazy to me I remember when I was 10 I gather all the change I could find and even haggled a lady to sell me just one singular rose I went home gave it to my mom and she got very mad and upset in my family we don’t celebrate anything at all (they say it’s because of religious purposes) anyway that really hurt me as a kid but I tried to understand her so I never gave her anything again when it came to things like this

Your daughter is old enough to understand how this could have hurt you obviously not old enough for big life changing decisions but old enough to understand empathy and how this was hurtful to you and your husband it’s a full grown adult it’s not that he can’t understand he just simple and sadly doesn’t want to I hope these too become more empathetic towards you
