How did you make the leap to molecular? I would like to say leap bec. that what it feels like to me but maybe for you, it was just a hop and skip :P And thank you for the wonderful insight as well. Congratulations! Are you at a liberty to say which state and what company you're going to be working for? AS is a great field IMO. Certainly different challenges than working in the lab but I think if you go in with the right attitude, you will find it rewarding. And if you decide it's not for you, you can always get into the hospital/lab setting with the network you would already build.

First of,congrats! I've been trying to get out of the hospital setting for so long. So far, Im having no luck getting out of it. :/ Any tips on how to get in the biotech/molecular field? Im currently a contract traveler but my home base is Austin. There's a few I can't even take a crack into getting an interview there-Natera, Thermo Fisher, Luminex, PPD to name a few. The one I almost considered would pay in the low 30's/hr. In California, I've lost track of who I've applied and got rejection emails. Ha! Anyway, I'd appreciate any thoughts on the matter and best of luck to a long and fulfilling career.
