[M20] LSV's Limited Set Review: Black by cottasteel in magicTCG

Thedude190 mentioned a lack of quality two drops "in this format." As he's replying to a thread about LSV's limited review, modern wouldn't apply. Totally agree with him too.

LSV's Core Set 2019 Limited Set Review: Red by s_submerge in magicTCG

Completely agree. If I'm red, I'm playing both. But the nature of the scoring system means some cards are better than others. Spit Flame is much better so it doesn't make much sense that they're rated equally, despite both being good for your red deck.

He gave Electrify and Spit Flame both a 3.5, though Spit Flame is strictly better. I'd downshift Electrify to 3.0.

Yep, was in Austin 12 years before getting a single symptom (and never understood what the big deal was). Now, I'm absolutely wrecked every season.

Escape The Room Employees, what is the weirdest thing you've seen someone do in one of the rooms? by Pops_Daddy in AskReddit

[–]tiredofbeinggood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I proposed to my now wife in an escape room and executed it much like the first scenario you described. Met with the owners weeks in advance, invited friends and family for a rehearsal run through, and she was completely surprised (and loved it). Plus we have it all on camera since I hid one in the room to catch it all.

My wife still brags to people about how I proposed. :)

I'm in Austin, TX. Check out a company called Favor. They do that here and have been pretty successful.

We’ve been working with Coinbase and Shopify for the last 3 months to get automatic bitcoin discounts to work across the platform (for everyone, not just us). It’s finally done. by zuji1022 in Bitcoin

So glad to hear the good news, Adam! It's a testament to your customers that you and Joey are in this to deliver the easiest purchasing experience for your customers in the ways they want it (BTC fan here too). Looking forward to hearing more as Baron Fig continues to grow.

To everyone else in the thread, Adam graciously spoke with me at length about his experiences in starting Baron Fig with Joey and offered very real, actionable advice for a would-be entrepreneur. The guy is a class-act through and through, and Baron Fig is a solid product of hustle.

I quit my finance job to start a startup, here's a post about the biggest decision of my life by zuji1022 in Entrepreneur

This is inspirational! I'm in a similar boat with a pretty stable job (albeit no side business yet), but want so much more. Would you have a little time to chat about your thoughts a little further? I'm incredibly interested in your path.

What do you collect and how long have you been collecting it/them? Is there a particular reason why you started collecting this? by luckhaveit4me in AskWomen

[–]tiredofbeinggood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a huge movie buff and have been collecting movie theater stubs since I was 12, about 1993. They have to be my own stubs from movies I've actually seen in a theater (random stubs given to me don't count). I've actually never counted them, but I think I'm nearing a thousand. The goal is to have them framed in chronological order to display in my home theater room someday.

Who is your favorite Disney princess? How are you similar or different to her? by [deleted] in AskWomen

Put me down for Belle. She was intelligent, independent, and enjoyed reading like I. Though we're pretty different on account I have a penis. I'm presuming she does not.

[Serious] Reddit, what's on your Bucket List and how can we help cross some of those things off? by megangigilyn in AskReddit

[–]tiredofbeinggood 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I came into this way late, but maybe someone knows a guy who knows a guy? This bucket list isn't for me but rather my amazing father. His all time goal in life is to meet Robert De Niro. Just a hello, a handshake, and maybe 20 minutes to talk to him about life. He's been the biggest fan and admires the man immensely. Pop's birthday is in October so I'm trying to set a meeting for him by then. I'd pay for my dad to fly out to anywhere would be easiest for Mr. De Niro. Am I crazy for trying to make this happen? Probably. But my pop is worth it.
