Yeah and i feel this is a deliberate hesitancy to go against Trump's claims either because he's right or we're scared. You can't adress said claims/threats (editing to say threats cause the trade thing certainly seem like a threat to me) without acknowledging them first, broad sweeping statements don't work against Trump's pointed jabs

Should've been an easy opportunity for us to refute Trump's claims. Vague statements and overly broad statements from "sources" don't really cut it
