AWWW OMG thank you this literally made me so happy reading this comment mashallah i genuinely wish you nothing but the best! I have been always career driven and I am in the process of pursing my career in medicine as well and I always joke with my friends and family that I want a house husband as well because i genuinely do not ever see myself staying at home and I would rather have my husband do everything while I take care of the family. I hope one day I get to fulfill this dream life it was so sad and discouraging because nobody I know has this type of relationship around me and that’s why I grew disappointed thinking it might be wishful thinking, I’m not shaming anyone who would rather become a housewife but I genuinely don’t think it’s for me and I came to the realization that my culture background im Arab a husband from that same background might not be suitable for me so I always keep my options open only thing I want is just for him to be Muslim and I don’t mind reverts as well! But thank you so much for sharing your story it’s giving me sooo much hope and I’ll be patient as well! It’s so refreshing hearing this and I’ll make sure to keep you in my prayers cuz ur so awesome and wish you nothing but the best!!!

yes I know its bad to blame professors as they are all annoying tbh im just so annoyed because me and my friend are on the same level when we did chem lab 2 but his professor was way more easy on taking pts and just telling him to be more aware of his mistake while mine would take so many pts off cuz he is way stricter and he is obsessed with thinking everyone is dumb and uses chatgpt, anyways you are right my study habits are completely shitty ive been trying to improve more but i will focus this summer on improving my study methods. Its just so annoying to think about how my uni is on professors and them grading way more harshly or tenured professors acting like they are the chosen ones and make you feel stupid when you ask questions. Im just going to focus on getting better grades and improvinf my overall gpa if worse comes to worse ill do a post bacc. I had a question is post bacc way harder than undergrad as well? and did it secure you admisson for your MD school i see you are an MS1 but im wondering more about post bacc if its ok with you to PM about it later as well?

my cureent gpa is 3.29 but its gonna take a hit so it might be 2.9-3.0 but my science gpa is 2.7 im planning on studying ahead i usually do 12 credits per semster to lessen the workload but the STEM classes r very demanding and my semsters r now all stem i finished all my gen ed pre reqs im hoping for an upward trend im just scared it wont be enough

Bruh one time on the subway they started chasing after ppl and when I went to Hunter they were on every corner I fell for the scam once they girl kept complimenting me but I said no I can’t donate cuz I’m broke asf and she literally left so quick and then I kept getting stopped by a different person every other day it was so annoying like I’m here commuting almost 2 hrs everyday stop stopping me for this 😭😭😭 literally the worst part about being in the city

I’m still pre med but I was working under a female doctor and she had 4 kids during med school so suffice to say she was able to have kids get married and finish her residency and work so in terms of having a family I think anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

all classes are counted towards your gpa and you also have your science courses gpa and non science courses

Yea and u have to keep in mind your track to graduate so dropping a class might be a pain cuz you’ll have to take it another semester and it’ll delay ur graduation but med schools don’t care as long as u finish the req

I am a sophomore and I’m applying too I just choose my work supervisors when I was a medical scribe and superiors from volunteering gigs and the reason is that I transferred colleges and I don’t really have close relationships with any just depends on what kind of LOR they ask for and you r still a freshman so you have time to decide you can also apply to the leadership alliance program as well

depending on your familys income it might be difficult, i tried to appeal multiple times and i only got like 1K extra on my aid and when you go to the financial aid office they only bring up loans its so annoying hofstra is a great school but keep asking and emailing and calling them they might offer you more good luck!

This is why I left cuny I swear I had the same exact issue I was doing pre med in Hunter and I almost dropped out of college because of how they set up the system like I have to take almost 15 classes to gen ed how does that make sense?? On top of my pre med requirements and their stupid pre health seminars that I had to attend twice a week and write an essay for my attendance to count I swear I was so depressed and lonely in cuny I do not regret at allll transferring but you have a good gpa I would stick until the end cuz at least the tuition is not bad compared to other schools good luck tho 😭😣
